The contact owns a 2001 Chevrolet Impala. The contact stated the vehicle was parked and caught fire underneath the hood. The fire department extinguished the fire but could not find the origin of it. There were no injuries. A fire report was not filed. A report was file with the insurance company. The dealer nor manufacturer were notified regarding the failure. The failure mileage was 182,598.

2 Engine problem

Failure Date: 07/16/2004

While driving 42 mph the vehicle (police package) crashed into a utility pole. As a result the vehicle's engine caught fire. The consumer sustained multiple fractures to both legs.

3 Engine problem

Consumer called complaining about having problems with cradle bolt that holds the motor is cracked and looks like it is about to brake. Dealer was contacted and stated that they had replace the cradle. But it is braking again and the only thing they will do is glue it back together.
