2003 Chevrolet Impala. Consumer writes in regards to trac unit repair and reimbursement. * ld the consumer stated when the traction light illuminated, the vehicle stalled. The vehicle was towed to the dealer. They discovered the lower intake gasket was leaking, and replaced it. The consumer drove five miles, after leaving the dealer, and the traction light illuminated again, and the vehicle stalled. Also, the ignition switch and catalytic converter were replaced.
Took my car to the dealer in collierville,TN. For another widespread problem, that should have been a recall costing 1,000. 00, & was told of another problem with the intake gasket,that will be another $1,000. 00, I see many others have this same problem, but of course gm not calling it a recall. I have a 2003 Chevrolet Impala with approximately 149,000 miles on it. Sunrise Chevrolet in collierville,TN. Has been the prople dealing with me , and states, their computer programmed bcm is not a recall, nor the ignition chip that engages the key , is also not a gm problem but many of their customers. I suffered with my car not starting numerous times , and finally bit the bullet and paid high dollar to the dealership for gm's should be recall. I want someone to listen about everyone's complaint of the intake gasket leaking, and make gm do the right thing!.
