Car began showing stabilitrak service, traction control service, reduced engine power and shut off while driving on interstate 35, almost causing a major traffic accident , pulled to side of interstate comm center says ingnition disabled car wont do anything when key was turned . I then sat approximatley 5 mins car starts with no codes but check engine light . I cannot have this happening means I drive 40 miles to wrk a day and cant afford to throw parts at the problem as all gm service centers hsve been with no solution.
While driving my Impala, with no warning, my car lost power. The dash beeped at me and said reduced engine power, service stalinktrak, service traction control. I had to turn my car off, I waited a few minutes then turned car back on. The car was able to run and drive after this, but my check engine light was on. I had vehicle computer scanned and had a code for throttle position sensor. After further research, I have learned I will need to replace the whole throttle body. My car has now lost power several times and my rpm gauge 'bounces'. I will be parking my car until the part comes in. This was very dangerous as you lose all power with no warning going down the expressway.
The check engine light comes on and it says service stabilitrak reduced power engine. Then the car slows, it may jerk, or stall. This has been an ongoing issue. I've taken it to be looked at least 2 or 3 times. I've been told they don't see anything and I should bring the car in to get serviced the light comes on. It usually last a few days but it will come back on. I've also received a letter from Chevrolet about fixing it but when I took it to get serviced I was told that it had to be under a certain amount of miles. This is a safety hazard and could cause a potential car accident or even death if traveling at high speeds and then all of a sudden your car engine reduces power. I know this because I've almost been in an accident twice due to this issue.
Major safety issue! while driving on the expressway hours from home reduced engine power/service traction control/check engine lights came on. Cruise control disabled as well. Car stopped on the expressway, steering wheel locked up. Luckily we were able to coast to the side otherwise this could have been a disaster! vehicle was towed to a nearby service station where it is currently located. There are several complaints out there like this. Gm needs to recall and fix this problem!.
Tl-the contact owns a 2010 Chevrolet Impala. The contact stated that while driving approximately 75 mph, the vehicle stalled as the traction control and the check engine warning light illuminated. The contact mentioned that after the failure occurred, the service electronic stability control, engine power reduced, and throttle body disabled warning lights displayed across the instrument panel. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 74,000. Ss.
When I was driving to work my car suddenly lost its traction control, the engine went to have power and the check engine light came on. It happens very fast, and now my car wont go over 40 miles per hour. I research on the internet I see lots of people having this problem so I wanted to report it.
The car experienced a reduction in power and the engine began making a "knocking" noise. The check engine light came on as well as a "reduced engine power, service traction control" alert.
This has been happening at least once a week for the last 2 months. I go to start my car in the morning and it has the check engine light on and traction control light and is giving me messages of engine power is reduced, service traction control, service stabilitrak. The car still drives when this is on, but its really doggie, and shifts hard.
Tl- the contact owns a 2010 Chevrolet Impala. The contact stated that the check engine light illuminated on her instrument panel and the vehicle stalled. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where the technician diagnosed the evaporated vent needed to be replaced. The evaporated vent and the accelerated pedal was repaired on the vehicle. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 76,964 and the current mileage was 78,968. Sr.
Every other week or so I get the "engine power reduced/ service stabiltrack/ service traction control" and the car will loose power. After an hour or so of sitting with the car off, it resets and the check engine light stays on until that eventually also resets. Today I was driving the same trouble codes came on and the car completely lost power I had no ability to accelerate, the power steering was disengaged it also mentioned something about the throttle body this time. Luckily I pulled into a nearby parking lot and the car reset after sitting for about an hour. This warning light and the reduced engine power has been an ongoing issue but I never lost complete power to the engine and steering light until today. This is an unacceptable issue that is ongoing with many gm owners. There needs to be a recall immediately!.
The check engine light came in, then the stabilitrak light came on, then engine power reduced car stopped in the middle of traffic, could have been fatal. Waited car powered back on. A known issue in this model.
At the time of the first incident traction control light came on the low engine power light came on . Speed dropped down to 15 mph. Had to pull over turn car off . Then restarted it again it was fine for a month . It repeated same problem. Now check engine light stays on . Hdhad code read saying throttle cable and traction control. To me that is a serious issue. This is something that needs to be addressed. Highway driving this problem could cause an accident . I can see this has been a issue with general motors with Impalas and other models since 2008. How many of the same complaints would it take until its fixed . Complaints keep coming up after throttle bodies replaced still having same problems. General motors needs to get with the program.
2010 chevy Impala. Consumer writes in regards to vehicle engine problems. The consumer stated while driving home, the traction control and check engine light illuminated. The engine cut off, and the consumer lost power steering. He was able to coast off the road, and after a few minutes, he re-started the engine.
Riding along at 70 mph taction control light and check engine light comes on. Computer says engine speed is reduced. Drove two more miles to pull over safely but car cut off and computer says engine start is disabled and car would not restart until I unhooked battery. Not real fun with rush hour in st. Lewis. Glad I was not ass ended.

The 2010 Impala was at hwy speeds at approx 65mph. The traction control light came on and the check engine light and the message display was flashing traction control failure. The lights stayed on. It also said engine at reduced speeds . The traction control failed at hwy speeds which left me coasting to reduced speeds and then the car shut off at 20 mph with no power steering or braking. I was able to coast off the highway into a parking lot off the service road.
