Two under dash actuators needed to be replaced at 31,060 and 39,914 miles. I believe these parts are faulty and need to be recalled. When I contacted Chevrolet, case# 71-1428809031, I was advised that recalls are only initiated by your organization. Since this is not a safety issue, this is questionable. Please advise. 2010 Chevrolet Impala,.
Key wont turn car off completely, wont come out of ignition, I see where many people have had this same problem with chevy, why no recall? obviously its a problem comeing from gm.
My car is having issues with the service traction control, engine power reduced and will shut down. This has happened to me over 5 times now. I can't even pick up speed after this happens. I was on the highway one time doing about 65 and the car just shut down, I was on an incline/ramp and an 18 wheeler was behind me and I could have been killed. I have taken the car into to get the codes ran but can not seem to get to the root cause. I am thinking about just giving the car back and having it go on my credit.
When there is any movement to the car before starting there is a knocking that sounds like it is coming from the air vent on the passenger side; possible actuator door ?? also, when switching between fresh and recirculated air the knocking starts and lasts 1 - 2 minutes. The noise is getting louder and I have noticed that when the temperature drops below 36 degrees the windows fog completely and running the defroster at it's maximum speed will not clear the windows. I have to wipe the excess condensation with a towel to maintain visibilty. May have to do with the actuator door being stuck and interferes with the defroster?? I have tried using rain-x anti-fog wipes to no avail. Need some help gm.
I have not been in any accidents but the service airbag lights started staying on. When I am operating the vehichle, sometimes the light will turn off and sometimes it does not. In addition, I have had instances where mulitple lights will come on and the engine's power is reduced by 50% according to the indicator. I have taken the car to the dealership and had the lights "reset". But this latest problem with the airbags has me rattled. I really do not feel that I should have to pay $1500 or more to get new airbags when the car has not been in an accident and I cannot afford a new car.
