Brought car to cook's brakes in portland, or because of rotational noises heard when braking. Mechanic confirmed the electronic parking brake piston actuation arm is not fully retracted causing the brake pads to stay partially engaged and prematurely damage the brake pads and rotors. The vehicle fails to comply with the requirements of federal motor vehicle safety systems (fmvss) no. 135 light vehicle brake systems. There is a danger of excessive heat and fire.
