Very loud abnormal ticking sound coming from the vehicle, failed actuators. Resulting in hvac loss. Arecall issued in 2014 for stabilitrak /abs for bad grounds on 2014 chevy Impalas. However 2. 5 and 3. 6 l engines were not included, but need to be!!! the car will drive rough and eventually just cut off in the middle of traffic highway or residential. This is what it did on me, putting me in a very dangerous position with my 5 year old in the car. This issue is effecting thousands of the same vehicles and gm's failure to address this issue is leaving the owners of the affected vehicles driving unsafe vehicles. Gm / chevy needs to issue a recall on alll the 2014 Impalas. (which they will not confirm or deny). While I was driving 60mph on an interstate my car notification screen displayed "service stabilitrak"/ "engine power reduced". . . Then my car acceleration seemed to have died and car slowed all the way down to around 20 mph with the gas pedal diwn to the floor. . . A big semi truck was behind me and had to break and swerve around me while blowing his horn. . . I was nearly killed.
I was in a car accident and the airbags did not deploy.
The brakes continue to malfunction I am unsure if a previous recall was fixed properly or not the chasis electrical system has been fixed with electrical tape only the transmission and stability track and anti lock brake system error light with go off from time to time when it does and the more it’s driven the worse the issues get these are all recalls and the problems still persist are we confident that the recalls have been corrected.
My steering wheel tripping , my brake light , my parking gear is triggered , stabilizing system and air bag.
Fourth time I had submitted this text so this one will be vague. I've had to repair my stuts and shocks and brakes to my vehicle due to ongoing issues with tires while divingand hitting small speesbumps and potholes. I did replace low performance tires and still was an issue with my struts and shocks when I drive causing me to hit a bump or a small hole and diverts me to the next lane of ongoing traffic also I had to my battery replaced twice. To find out that it was only due to corrosion and the battery cables slipping was frustrating cause I did replace the battery and key fob battery already. Car wouldn't start and when it did it took forever hours to restart and engine still seems to get bogged down in ongoing traffic. Which was the prior issue no power no matter how hard I press the gas. I took to autozone and they did a reading which came back that everything was okay including the battery which was obviously not okay. It was leaking fluid and I have already replaced year and half ago due to same issue. They cables seem to slip over time on its own. What to do? thank you for your time to look into this issue. Kindest regards.
The recall said it was completed in 2014, but my parking brake will engage while I'm driving and has risked my life in multiple occasions. So I believe the recall was not done properly as my parking brake still engages while I'm driving.
The right turn signal bulb keeps blowing. Break lights were stuck on. I got pulled over because the blinker wasn't working and parking light wouldn't go off. The officer was nice because I had just got the car and didn't give me a ticket, just a warning. Blinker on passenger side won't work with lights on and fuses for that side keeps blowing.
I have a 2014 chevy Impala ltz, owned it for 9 years. Just started with issues within the last 6months and it just seems to be getting worst everyday. While making a left turn, not even driving 5mph my power steering fails and the drivers side tires seem to lock up as if the car would be hydro planing. Once it happens the dashboard alerts come on such as stabilitrac, traction control, abs, service break assistance, power steering, and I lost control of the car in the middle of the road!! brought the car to the shop they change the wheel bearings. We also changed the brakes in March of this year, we had a front and back realignment plus new tires within the last 6 months. The dealer we got it from is no longer in business, as I did buy it used. I called the Chevrolet 800 number for recalls but no luck finding anything. After searching year/make/model I found similar issues to other "2014 chevy" within the last couple of years. This is a serious issue and it can become dangerous while driving with my family in the car. I can't afford another vehicle as this car is my reliable vehicle.
I was driving in a snowstorm and all of the sudden the abs, stabilitrak, and power steering went out. I'm frustrated that this is the 2nd electrical safety issue that I have experienced. Both of which have been reported by several drivers and still no recalls!.
Bad wiring harnesses causing brakes and antilock brakes to throw codes and fail. Abs and stable track fail and also cause car to suddenly go to low engine power mode while driving down highway. Replaced nearly every brake component plus vehicle computers and abs modules. Vehicle now throwing new codes serious at random. Main pcm computer replaced twice. Abs, brake booster, abs modular, master cylinder, 4 calipers, hoses, abs module and abs valve assembly all these components replaced twice at least. Vehicle was not a flood car.
The electronic parking brake fails to disengage entirely from the rear brake pads causing them to become welded together. This results in extreme heat, excess brake dust, poor acceleration, and caliper / brake line (air) issues.
The service power steering came in on the dash, also along with service stabiltrak and the abs light heard these are common and play together , mainly the service power steering which caused the vehicle to be become almost impossible to steer I heard there where recalls on this same situation as it is a huge safety concern . It makes it very dangerous in highway or roads as it is very hard to steer.
Vehicle is available for inspection upon request. Brake booster not regulating properly. This is causing the vehicle to not stop at a timely manner and a need to push brake all the way down for vehicle to eventually stop which is unsafe when driving. This has been confirmed by independent service center which has recommended to search for recall. No warnings or messages prior to issue.
The abs and traction control light are always on. Sometimes the brakes kick back up on my foot and the brakes skip until I come to a stop. This doesn't always happen but I have to always be prepared. And there is always a squeaking sound when wheels are in motion. It was never inspected.
When turning left the wheel locks up as it would if the car were sliding on ice. The stability track alert comes on. It becomes a problem when I'm driving in busy traffic and turning at an intersection because it'll just lock up and not let me go, stopping me in the middle of the intersection.
The contact owns a 2014 Chevrolet Impala. The contact stated while driving at various speeds, the vehicle made a rattling sound when the brake pedal was depressed. The contact also stated that the vehicle would stall occasionally while driving at various speeds. The contact stated that the check engine warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to Chevrolet of homewood (18033 s halsted st, homewood, IL 60430) to be diagnosed. The contact was informed by the mechanic that nothing needed to be replaced. The contact had the rotors replaced on the vehicle however, the failure persisted. The vehicle was taken to mike anderson Chevrolet of merrillville (1550 e 61st Ave, merrillville, in 46410) for a second diagnostic test. The mechanic was unable to provide a cause for the failure. The manufacturer had not been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 74,000.
Steering, stabillitrack , and abs affected the steering and ease of driving was disrupted and unsafe. 2nd occurence of this issue.
Failure in my stabilitrak, power steering, and abs system! and it says there has been no recall on my car.
The car shuddered on initial start-up, turned it off waited for a minute. Restarted ran normally. The next day on start-up dic alerted to abs, powersteering, and stabilitack in need of service, noticeable difference in steering control, wheel slippage on quick exhilaration, I tried to brake more cautiously so as not to test my braking ability. Definitely a safety issue. Should be recalled. Had the same problem a year ago spending $495. To have the opposite wheel hub and brg assembly. Hope this isn't an annual event. Love my car but hate expenses that should not occur with a car; especially under 100,000 miles. Why did this happen? there is nothing to blame it on such as hitting a pothole. The weather has been colder, there has been a reference to that as well as some say it is a wiring harness that is in a bad location, wearing exposing wires that make contact with metal. Research shows that other drivers are having the same issue and expense. How many complaints will it take before this safety issue is addressed and customers are refunded this unnecessary expense.
Driving on highway when my abs and traction control lights came on causing my vehicle to lose steering control and braking.
I was driving on the highway at night and and my power steering and stabilitrak abs indicators came on and the vehicle became very difficult to turn/handle with out warning.
Tl- the contact owns a 2014 Chevrolet Impala. The contact stated that while driving at 55 mph, the abs and stability track warning lights illuminated. As the lights illuminated, the power steering ceased to operate. The contact was able to restart the vehicle but the failure persisted. The contact had to have the vehicle towed to her home. Upon investigation, the contact linked NHTSA campaign number: 14v450000(steering) with her failure. The contact had not taken the vehicle to a dealer and it has yet to be diagnosed. The manufacturer had not been notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 128,496. Jo.
To brake my steering wheel turns to the right. I found mold in my trunk.
The sunroof sunshade won't retract properly and the fabric hangs down so I can't see out my rear window from the rear view mirror. This happened while driving on the highway. I had to exit and park my car. The shade had issues closing however I was finally able to get it closed. Then a code came up with body control module / sunroof/sunshade actuator calibration not learned (symptom 4b) code: b369d. Also my parking brake engages without touching the button. It happens when I start my vehicle and the parking light on the dash is lit up. I have to disengage it. I will then hear my brakes rubbing on the rotors while driving and making my car vibrate while driving almost like the brakes are catching on a couple spots on the rotors.
The vehicle had water damage from clogged sunroof drains, which cause water to run all down the side and back panels causing an extensive amount of damage from one horrible design flaw. Some of the things effected was electrical company's such as electronic parking break was engaged and would not release cause the vehicle not to move! next was corrosion on several other inside wires having to do with steering and possibly air bags, but who knows if they will be effective until there is an accident and it's too late to find out if they are dmamged. Other safety features such as side detection was corroded so it too malfunctioned. There was a lot of other electrical things damaged but the car is in the shop and I don't know what else could be a huge safe concern. There is now so much mold which is dangerous to be breathing in if not totally replaced. There is an extensive amount of water in the spare tire wheel well that is causing rust and the inability to use this safety feature if needed! this became a horrible safety concern for myself and whomever my be traveling in my vehicle. Please do research into this because I could not believe this could happen to a car with only 70,000 miles! my car is in the shop so I cannot take any pictures of it! please help!.
When driving and while applying the breaks the breaks lock up and become hard there is also a air noise coming from breaks almost causing a collision on several occasions. When taking to the mechanic shop he stated it was a common problem and have has to work on the chevy malibu I feel there is a defect with the chevy breaking system. Also the blinker automatically turns on this has been happening since I purchased the car.
While driving down the road the message center popped up the service power assist steering, and the abs and stabilitrak were also deactivated. This all happened while driving down the highway at 55mph in a straight line.
Tl the contact owns a 2014 Chevrolet Impala. While driving 5 mph, the abs, traction control, and power steering warning indicators illuminated and the steering failed. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer to be diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 55,000.
Master cyl and booster failure while in motion.
While driving around 7:30am on Nov 2nd, the vehicle power steering and abs stopped working and warning lights began to go off. I was traveling at 70mph on a wet highway. Steering became very difficult. I got off at the very next exit.
I get intermittent service stabilitrack, service brake assist, service traction control notifications where my odometer reading is as well as abs and electronic stabilitycontrol illuminations almost immediately after shifting my vehicle into drive and turning and it is during motion. Also there is grinding and hard and difficult braking during these illuminations. . .
Tl- the contact owns a 2014 Chevrolet Impala. The contact stated that while driving at low speeds depressing the brake pad the vehicle hesitated to slow down and the steering wheel became hard to steer with the abs, power steering, and stabilitrak system light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to winegardner motor company Chevrolet parts 22675 washington st, leonardtown, MD 20650 (240) 256-3959 where they informed the contact that the recall was fixed back in 2014. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 65,495. Dr.
While driving on a rural road approaching a sharp curve my vehicle's control panel began to display service power steering drive with care and service stabilitrack messages respectively; immediately thereafter I began to experience difficulty with steering.
When I start my car my epb is stuck to my rotors and will not disengage while driving or when I apply the brake. I am in fear that my brakes will catch fire from the fiction. The recall that was on this issue, when my VIN was checked it said my car wasn't affected by this but clearly it is. The recall said the dealer needs to update the electronic parking brake software but they will not do it because my car has a salvage title. Also my car won't go over 50mph because the brakes are engaged and wont release.
