1 Recreational Vehicle Lpg Tank Valve/gauge problem

Failure Date: 08/27/2019

"service side detection" comes on the dash everytime the car is started. Recently I tried to enter my vehicle and the fob did not unlock the doors after several attempts. Once it did, the car would not start. After several attempts of starting the vehicle it finally worked, but the gauges kept turning on and off even while the car was in motion as well as the door locks. This is the first time this has happened, but it was quite concerning while driving.

2 Recreational Vehicle Lpg Tank Valve/gauge problem

Failure Date: 05/04/2019

Side detection system sensors are located on the inside of the rear bumper panel on either side, they detect cars in the blind spot. The sensors are located in a poor location to begin with, they are in direct line of fire with road and tire debris, salt water, gravel, sand, snow, mud, etc. Over time, the natural elements seep into the cracks of these sensors and/or their wiring harnesses at the connections, and cause malfunctioning of this system. Minimally, the problem can be resolved by replacing the sensors and/or harnesses for brand new ones. At the worst, these malfunctioned sensors cause other electrical malfunctions and subsequently increased road hazards and driving conditions by the way that it can lead to the driver info center going black, the radio cutting out, all the interior and gauge cluster lights going out while on the road. If left unresolved because many customers and drivers would much rather wait for an official recall and continue driving, many will be at risk.

3 Recreational Vehicle Lpg Tank Valve/gauge problem

Failure Date: 04/11/2019

The blindspot detection system module failed and it messed up all my electrical systems in the car thw speedometer rpm and fuel and temperature gauges bottomed out to 0. All the lights came on . The vehicle was in motion doing 79 mph on the interstate. On star thought I was in an accident.

4 Recreational Vehicle Lpg Tank Valve/gauge problem

Failure Date: 03/27/2019

Car started smoking from the bumper area and electrical system going nuts. Car was sluggish and acting weird. All gauges and instrument panel going off and on. Door locks locking and unlocking. Cruise enable then disable. Infotainment system screen glitching out. Took to dealership they said the side detection module and wiring harness is bad where it got wet. The location leaves it exposed to water from the roadway and can cause fire hazard. Very dangerous and scary driving down the road and all this happens on the highway.

5 Recreational Vehicle Lpg Tank Valve/gauge problem

Failure Date: 01/07/2019

While driving 70 mph, my side detection light remained on and stayed that way for a few days then completely stopped working. I was still under 36,000 but over 36 months. I made an appointment with the dealership but cancelled after talking with my friend who said the same thing happened to her denali and it cost her $3000 to fix it. A few months ago, I was driving around 50 mph, all the sensors started flashing on my dash-parking assist, brakes, side detection, front camera, etc. The gauges stopped working, the heater turned off as did the radio and felt like the power was way down. My blinkers weren't working either. I pulled over and turned the car off to try to reset it and it did not work. I finished my drive to work. When returning to my car, it did not replicate the same behavior as in the morning. Now, my lane departure and front crash detection is not working. I have read many complaints about this issue in the 2014 chevy Impala. I have always been, along with my husband, a gm product owner, gm has a plant 1 mile from us and they are talking about shutting it down. If this is not something gm looks into recalling, I may make the switch to a different car company. I have not yet taken it to the dealer but since more and more things keep breaking, I will be scheduling an appointment soon and letting gm know exactly how I feel about this. After spending $35,000 on a vehicle, it should not act like this.
