5th cylinder misfire caused by broken valve. Also not shifting right caused by transmission solenoid.

2 Transmission Solenoid problem

Failure Date: 03/03/2020

My 2014 chevy Impala misfires while driving and loses and regains power while driving. I took it to a mechanic and it is the rocker arm control valve solenoids. I did some research it this is a known issue for 2014/2015 Impalas and malibu's. This is very unsafe and can cause accidents. Also, this part has been on backorder for several months so owners are having to drive with check engine light on. This should be a recall.

3 Transmission Solenoid problem

Failure Date: 10/30/2019

Oil control solenoid valve failure causing loss of power, instability at all speeds, and surging of engine. Gm does not have any parts to repair this item and does not have a eta on when they will get them, there are no aftermarket options availible either due to the rate of failure. Gm part# 12633613.

4 Transmission Solenoid problem

Failure Date: 02/27/2018

This car has been a lemon since we owned it. First the electrical system shut down (while we were driving at 70 mph), then the wheel barrings needed replacing at 60,000 miles, and now the solenoid has gone bad preventing the car from shifting.

5 Transmission Solenoid problem

Failure Date: 07/17/2017

Dealership could not find problem with transmission stalling out on pulling out. Now with warranty lapsed transmission solenoid is bad. $1300 to repair.
