I have trouble codes that occasionally come up even after vehicle has been serviced. The vehicle used to drive fine. Now it started miss firing. I was told the problem was coming from the engine compartment/sensors. An obdii diagnosis detects a problem with b camshaft position timing over advanced or system performance bank 2 (p0024). I fear that without the fix, the miss firing can cause an accident. The engine light is illuminated when this happens.

While driving vehicle warning light service stabilitrak. . . . Reduced engine power comes on. Vehicle then slows and can not drive over 20 to 30 mph. This has occurred randomly at highway speeds while driving on interstate in traffic. Sudden reduction caused traffic to have to slow quickly and almost caused a collision.

While driving at highway speeds the car will act up and the engine will shut off, I get the message on the odometer display that reads, engine power is reduced, service throttle, starter disabled. This is not a good thing to have happen while driving.

I noticed lately my car has trouble starting, especially after I get gas. Anywhere I take it, no one knows what it is. Literally someone said that I’m not holding the brake down when I’m starting it. I know how to start my vehicle! it doesn’t want to start and sounds like a broke down Saturn when I start it. It takes like 20-30 seconds to start. Also that ac went out, I paid $700 at chevy, and then the ac went out again a few months later, again no one knows why. Wtf!.
On fb 08 2022, at app 5:30 in the evening my 2016 Impala had a non-driver directed surge of speed. As I was slowing down to enter a driveway, the vehicle surged forward powerfully. I was able to press the brakes forcefully engaging the antilock mechanism. The vehicle shook as I continued to apply breaking force. It came to stop barely missing another vehicle parked in the driveway. I have no explanation for this dangerous episode. I had not used any type of automatic speed control. The car is serviced by authorized dealership: hampton Chevrolet in hampton va. I was in the car with two of my grandaughters when the incident occurred. I was able to drive the car back without any problem, but I'm scared to drive it.

The car can have moments of power loss where the speedometer suddenly, erratically spikes while the tachometer slightly lags. It almost stalled my vehicle while transmission was in drive while stopped. It feels like dragging when the power loss occurs. This has occurred randomly for the past month, mostly during interstate driving with cruise control operating. It has happened the last six times I have driven, but the previous several times it did not occur. It also occurred in a similar random fashion for the prior two weeks. When it does occur it feels like power drain and deceleration that can last a second and this will occur several times during a twenty minute drive at 70mph. Mechanics at two shops seem confused and don't know where to begin except for a transmission fluid flush. That was completed and the problem has persisted. There are no related error codes. To lose power suddenly and unexpectedly could cause an accident especially if a system failure shuts off the vehicle while driving. This vehicle has had an oil consumption/burning problem since I bought it with around 60,000miles. It needed 2 quarts of oil added between the last oil changes. I have spent $1400 in July of this year on gasket replacements and that did not stop the leak. More gasket heads and an oil pan are going to be need to replaced and the estimate is another $1400. This is too much to be spending on possibly related issues in a short time span that may not resolve the problem.

Fuel system; code p0230. Cam/crankshaft; solenoid circuit in bank 1 code p0010. Radio wiring; radio is smoking all the time bad ground wire or short in wires. My vehical stopped while I was in drive motion going approximately 45 mph. No injuries, and no fatalities but my Impala stopped running and have not been able to start it since. In addition no one had got hurt, I was in open road. I have not had my the vehical serviced or diagnosed by a service center. Due to a no crank/no start condition. It will not move. Prior to the failure, we had the mil on the dash say power engine reduced. That's when at high speed on freeways or extensive driving patterns.

The abs light comes on. Everything on dashboard like the arrows go to zero and doesn't move. The oxygen sensor is not working. And some transmission problems. Also the car has proble!s moving at first. This happens when I am driving.
My car just stops on my while I'm waiting at a light. Car just shuts off randomly and it doesn't turn on right away after I put gas car shakes and have to press gas all the way down to turn back on.
My ignition switch has a recall that sometimes takes forever to get key to turn over, the steering shaft and knuckles also have a recall that make me drift and slide on dry roads, engine and cooling system as well has recall.
Check engine light recently came on, car completely lost power and turned off during as I turned right at a light, had onstar run diagnostics, code involved the emissions system, was advised to fill up with high quality fuel, and drive with the gas cap off to correct it. I was traveling on a familiar highway at night, cruise control set at 60 mph, further down the highway I see deer running across the highway, they are common in this area, I tapped my brakes to slow down for them to cross and immediately the check engine, antilock brakes, power steering, stability track and battery saver indicators illuminated on the dash and the car wouldn't brake as it should resulting in an accident that I had more than enough time to prevent and could have easily avoided if the brakes would have performed normally. Maintaining my vehicle and keeping up with its maintenance is of high importance because not doing so can result in safety issues,I travel a lot and if I had been informed of the brake recall or notified of possible other recalls I would have followed up and allowed gm to fix it!.

I dont understand why my car shows no misfires until today and its the fuel control module but it resets and goes away then back again like its remote control. While stationary battery is fair/ alternator fair.
My car keeps turning off on me while im driving.
For approximately 2 months, my 2016 Impala ltz, would display a message on the small screen in front of the driver in the dash, stating for the driver to, "press ignition button again to turn vehicle off. " the worst part about it was this would happen very randomly whether I would be driving in city traffic, or be sitting in a parking lot at a local store. I took it to my local Chevrolet dealership. Five different times, because they were not able to get the occurrence to duplicate for them. They replaced the ignition, as well as other suspected parts with no resolution. Resolution. Ended up costing me over $1,200. That was the first time I took it in for this issue. The other four times didn't cost me anything because they hadn't fixed the issue. Come to find out it was a wire on the body control module that had some of the insulation sheathing removed, which then in turn caused the wire to ground out on the car's frame. Just thought I would put this out there in case anybody else goes through it because it wasn't real inconvenience.
I just recently bought this vehicle 03/11/20 and it ran great till yesterday when the intake manifold exploded and caught fire to the engine from the fuel lines melted this happened when I was getting a jump. It says there are no recalls pending it is the 3. 8l and it looked original all the parts did can you please help me out.
Had issues with my 2007 Impala 3. 9l stalling and reducing power on my wife, and at times almost leaving her in or on the road. I have replaced the throttle body, throttle peddle ( twice ) and had the car flashed at the local gm dealer. Now the car not only reads reduced engine power it read starting disabled service throttle and died while she was driving down a busy highway during rush hour. . Causing her to almost be involved in a bad wreck. This seriously needs to have attention of whoever at gm is over safety, cause this issue will end up in a really bad situation if or when someone ends up seriously hurt or killed. I mean you really need to program them to slowly reduce power, not just tell you then shut off completely and have the driver fight and panic to get off the road through traffic, while not getting run over in the process. But if there is a fix we need to know.
I had an issue with the check engine light, car stalling, and changing gears slow. The chevy dealership stated that the purge valve was bad and replaced it on 7/3/20. My mom had the same issue with her chevy trax and a different dealership in a different city said that her purge valve was stuck open and replaced it. Also my airbag light is on now. I saw that tamara has recalls on certain vehicles but my chevy isn't listed.
Vehicle is idling hard on start ups and shutting off when brake. Restarts but will shut off again when I brake.
The incident happened this morning as I was leaving for work. My car was parked in our driveway and had not been driven in 2 days. I got in the vehicle and put the key in the ignition and as soon as I turned it to start there was a loud bang that sounded like a gunshot which I thought was a backfire. The entire plastic intake manifold gasket had exploded into pieces and white smoke began to rise from under the hood. When I opened the hood and the smoke cleared I began to assess the issue, I noticed the manifold gasket cover had been blown completely off and the manifold itself was in pieces. I've done some research and this seems to be a common but uncommon thing among early 2000's gm vehicles.
Took my vehicle in for its regular oil change. A few days later, the car started driving funny. I notice that when I went to accelerate that the vehicle started shaking. After it happened a few more times within that same week, my check engine light came on. I decided to take it back to the chevy dealership where I had the oil change, not before calling the service dept. Several time in the week to voice my concerns. I was told to bring the vehicle in and have them check my oil level to make sure all was well. I told them what I was experiencing and that the check engine light was on and asked could they re-check my oil level. The service advisor checked and said that the oil was fine. She then suggested that I pay $112. 48 dollars for a diagnostic test, because that would be the only way to determine why the check engine light was on. I did! only for them to tell me that it was p2645 intake rocker arm control circuit solenoid. Then she game me a quote of $407. 35 to fix the problem. I was then informed that I had to pay for the part upfront before anything could be done and on top of that, this part was on back-order and that it would take weeks to fill the order. I need to use my vehicle to get around and this was not safe to drive! this was over 2 months ago. I then turned to the internet to do my research only to find out that is a faulty part from the gm manufacture. And gm was not willing to replace the part even after they place this part in my vehicle knowingly that this was a defected part and that down the road it would be faulty, not only in my 2014 but the 2015 chevy Impala's and the chevy malibu. This is not right and gm need to correct the problem. I am paying for a car for the last 2 months that I cant even drive! shameful gm!.
Seatbelts aren't locking up, when turning it's giving me delays then normal acceleration kicks back in.

My car has been giving me problems ever since I begun using e85 gas. Check engine light constantly comes on and off. Mechanics from the dealer told me I should stop using e85. Makes no sense. Chevy should stop false advertising. This is a common issue with chevy. Why make a car for e85 if it wont work properly if use it. Dashboard constantly lighting up like cristmas. Says reduce engine speed. Service stabilitrak, service traction control. This car has gave me more problems than any car I owned. This should be recalled.
My car has been stalling on occasional incidents for the past 3 years, I have brought it up to my Chevrolet dealer and they say nothing is wrong, but on Friday January 17, 2020 I was driving down the fwy at 65 miles an hour and my cars speed gauge dropped to 1 and my speed began to decrease, I had to act quickly, as I was on the fast lane, I stepped harder on the gas and after like 5 sec. My speed and gauge began to increase. I also had an incident with my car on Feb. 21, 2020 as I going to park at my college, I began to turn left and my cars engine completely turned off, my car lights and radio were on the battery voltage was at 14. 9, but my car no longer wanted to start. I tried numerous times to turn it on after the 8th time I gave up because I got the smell of gas, my car had 3/4 of gas so I new that was not the issue. I had to call triple a to get my car towed and I was I formed that my car turned on with no issue when they delivered it home. This past few weeks my car has been stalling but not to that degree, I will be taking it back to my dealer to see if the can find anything, but I'm very worried with these issues.
