One problem related to axle shaft has been reported for the 1999 Chevrolet Malibu. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Loud grinding/ pulsation sound. Took vehicle to dealer , both front wheel bearing assemblies had to be replaced. Not covered by warranty. Currently, both rotors had to be replaced.
