Tl-the contact owns a 1999 Chevrolet Malibu. The contact stated while the vehicle was in park, the theft protection warning light illuminated intermittently causing the vehicle to stall. The contact stated that after waiting, the vehicle would restart. The failure recurred numerous times. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the module needed to be replaced. 2 Car Stall problem

Tl- the contact owned a 1999 Chevrolet Malibu. The contact stated that while driving at a unknown speed, the vehicle stalled without warning and crashed. The contact mentioned that the air bags failed to deploy. A police report was filed and injuries were sustained. The contact received a notification for recall NHTSA campaign number: 14v400000 (electrical system). The vehicle was destroyed. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. 4 Car Stall problem

Consumer states while driving after engine is warm, engine will shut off nothing works but the radio. Vehicle has to be put in park to restart. Engine will not turn over the first few times after problem occurs. Vehicle also stalled out when under 30 mph. Dealer unable to duplicate concern.

5 Car Stall problem

Failure Date: 01/02/2001

While driving or at a complete stop vehicle will stall out without any warning. Contacted dealer, and the dealer was not willing to do anything.

6 Car Stall problem

Failure Date: 07/21/2000

While driving over big bumps vehicle stalled unexpectedly which may have caused a crash. Consumer was able to restart vehicle. Will be taking vehicle to dealer. Please provide further information.

7 Car Stall problem

Failure Date: 04/01/1999

Vehicle has stalled on 3 different occasions, dealer can not duplicate problem or get it to come up on the onboard computer, consumer has been to arbitration, but was told there was no proof of vehicle stalling.

8 Car Stall problem

While traveling and without any indication vehicle would stall at any speed. Dealer has been notified. Please provide further information.
