Engine Stall problems of the 1999 Chevrolet Malibu

Tl-the contact owns a 1999 Chevrolet Malibu. The contact stated that while driving 30mph, the engine stalled and the vehicle automatically veered to the right and left without warning. The problem occurred numerous of times. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic and they were unable to diagnosed the failure and referred contact to the dealer mechanic. The contact received NHTSA campaign NHTSA number:14v400000(electrical system)and believed the failure was related to the recall. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 140,000. Lb.

2 Engine Stall problem

Failure Date: 03/24/2000

At 19,000 miles vehicle has been experiencing ongoing problem with engine stalling when brake were applied intermittently. Dealer was not notified at this time. Please feel free to provide any further details on this matter.
