My vehicle had stand still water in my trunk, the water seeped through to the interior damaging the rear seats, water covered the floor, there are stains on the roof and the smell of aged water is throughout the entire vehicle. My vehicle was parked and unoccupied, the trunk was closed and the windows were up as normal as my vehicle was parked for the night.

For sometime now in the past few years when I get into the driver seat it feels like the seat is shifting to the right. The issue was felt but has gotten worse as time went on. I do know that there was a recall on the drivers seat belt and I'm not sure if that's what caused the problem as I after 1-2 years went to the back seat to the rear of the seat and put my hands under the lower right hand side of the seat and lifted. The seat moved! I then called Chevrolet to see if they has problems with the seat or the frame and I was told no. I then talked with mcdermott and I was told the seat would cost me close to $1,000 dollars. I then contacted cna national warranty corporation and I have bumper to bumper coverage through the extended warranty. Cna is refusing to cover the seat frame but would cover the seat track. I called Chevrolet again on 03/27/2017 and they told me because it was out of warranty they wouldn't cover the seat? this is the first time in my life I have dealt with a driver seat breaking on a Chevrolet product. I weigh 200lbs and the seat frame shouldn't have broken. What would happen to this seat if there was an accident and movement from a human body with a seat belt? I have a case number from Chevrolet: 2844719955. I'm working on getting a case number from cna today. I have also read about the 2006, 2010, 2011 and 2012 Malibu issues with car seats. I need the seat replaced and it has done some damage to the center console from the movement from the seat. This a serious safety issue that Chevrolet and cna is refusing to fix.

A little over a year ago we noticed the drivers side power seat seemed to be moving at times. It has since broken loose from part of the frame. As long as the seat is in the down position it sits kinda steady. Any attempt to move it up or down causes it to become dislodged. It happens regardless of the motion of the car. About the same time frame, the rear door locks started acting up. Depends on their attitude of the day, they either will not lock or unlock by remote or switch. Only way to access the rear seat area is to roll the window down and reach in from outside to unlock since the lock button is not located in a handy spot. Could see a large problem in an accident with children in the backseat needing to exit quickly. Have not reported to dealer as the blogs have numerous complaints and stories that are being ignored by the manufacturer. Seat malfunction is a huge safety concern if any other bracing fails and car is in motion.

I did have a recall on the front seat belts, not sure if the seats were removed. Since then the drivers seat felt as if it was closer to the center console and leaning more to the right not to mention a tool (battery powered angle driver) was found in the back left seat later and returned to mcdermott. My seat is leaning more and more as time passes and I went to the rear seat to look at the drivers seat and the right side mounted to the floor rail is lifting up? I the spoke with Chevrolet direct online and was told it was out of warranty. I have an extended warranty but this is a huge safety issue. Can you imagine if I was to get into an accident and me the seat with my seat belt on went through the windshield. This issue needs to be fixed and my seat is also damaged from the movement, leather seat. That needs to be replaced.
I had spun out on a turn the day after xmas doing a 180 degree turn. I saw a road sign to my left which was directly inline with my drivers door. I should of hit the sign and rolled my car but as fate would have it, the car turned and just backed into the road ditch. . . . However I did slide sideways for a few feet. My two year old was in the back seat. . . . . She hit her head on a water bottle, so once we came to a stop I got out to access the damage. My left front tire was off the car and laying sideways under it. My back driver tire was going flat. We missed the road sign but stopped only five feet from a light pole that would of killed my daughter. Behind that pole was a set of rr tracks. The garage fixed my car and all seemed well but I kept having back problems. . . . I was released a month ago but have relapsed. Turns out my seat frame in my drivers seat is broke but insurance won't cover cause its been nine months. I was quoted 750 for part alone and 300 some for labor. Its not safe and it should of been caught. They didn't hesitate replacing a car seatseat. Now I see many people having same issues and question gms safety. I am a single mom, anything happens to me who takes care of my girl?.

I had my first problem when I purchased the car. It would jerk & felt it was moving on it's own. Then the lamps would go out and I was replacing the bulbs every month. Then my key starter has failed two times after replacing them. The driver seat has calapsed on the left hand side. The rear seat handle to raise the seats up and down has broken on both passenger side. My lights have burned out on the front driver's side you can see the residue on the cover. The chairs was not scotch guard protected as stated they are very stained even when I tried to was them. In ready some of the others it appear as though mu care had all the defects of my counter parts.

Front and rear crossmembers in the driver's seat frame failed, along with welds on both sides of the rear crossmember. The seat tilted significantly to the right, interfering with the opening of the rear seat entertainment unit and placing a strain on the seat adjustment motor. After failure, the seat would shift noticeably in turns, and the repair shop said in the event of an accident, it was highly unlikely the seat would remain anchored. The fact that the driver's seat belt was anchored to the seat caused further concern, as it would not stop a driver from being thrown forward in the event of an accident. Several local gm dealers said that they have no recourse and that the seat is no longer available. I had to have the seat completely stripped down and have several parts and welds replaced at a local metal shop.
