The vehicle continually goes into "engine low power mode" while on the highways. This is now occurring daily. I've tried to get it fixed but no one seems to know what it is. I am very fortunate that no one has hit me when the vehicle goes from high speeds down to 20 miles per hour with no response by pressing the gas pedal. There have been multiple things failing on this car: passenger side window no longer opens, cruise control will not work, 2 of the 3 chargers in the car do not work (after fixing those fuses, they just blew immediately) power locks went from barely working to not working at all, the latest being the low power mode and traction control being activated in the heat of a tennessee spring (already 80 degrees) - it's not a water issue. The first few months I had this car it was in the shop almost every weekend. I've gotten all the recalls fixed when they required it and I keep up with maintenance on this car. It has the usual break downs but this is the least safe car I have ever driven (and I have driven around twenty long term, ten more short term).

My rear passenger door lock disengaged from the automatic locks and can only be opened from the inside. (spring 2016) my traction control is periodically saying that it has malfunctioned but does not always. When the light comes on, I feel a pulse as I'm braking and sometimes if it comes on while I'm driving I'll feel a slight jolt through the accelerator pedal. I also hear a click noise like the pedal may disengage. (late summer 2016) I don't know if it's related but since most things seem electrical, my radio sometimes will not turn off and seems to do what it wants during times when other things are seemingly malfunctioning (I. E. In conjunction with the traction control issue). On several occasions, I have taken the key out of the ignition, opened the door but my radio doesn't turn off. (late summer 2016) on several occasions, I have taken the key out of the ignition, but the car seems to still be running, like idling. I've thought it was the cooling system, but I've never had this happen in the last 22 years I've been driving nor heard it from anyone else I ask. (late summer 2016) I have also been driving, on several occasions, with cruise control engaged and then realize that I'm slowing down only to find the cruise is no longer engaged. The first few times I thought it was me. Now, I rarely use it because it's not consistently reliable. (late summer 2016) while my fuse and bulbs are fine, both of my taillights are not working. (late November, 2016 when someone brought it to my attention).

At 60 mph the cruise control was on at the steering wheel, but not set. It set itself as indicated by the "cruise" light on the dash and would not turn off, but kept accelerating as indicated by the gas pedal being depressed. I applied brakes and it still would not turn off. After reaching 80 mph, I was able to start slowing down, even though I could feel the car continue to try to accelerate and the cruise control indicator on the dash was still on. After traveling 1/4 mile, I finally got the car stopped on the side of the road, I put the car in park. The rpm's were pulsing between 2500-3500 and continuing to climb. I turned off the key. Smoke was boiling from the front brakes. It took a full 15 seconds for the accelerator pedal to release from its engaged position. I could hear a "pop" and feel the accelerator pedal spring back to its normal position. The dealership is blaming my floor mat.
