Going westbound through the green traffic light vehicle stalled,an oncoming vehicle t-bone passenger side causing a crash enabling airbags deployment. Driver were wearing seat belt restraint. Letter from congressman forbes on behalf of constituent vehicle recall on 2007 Chevrolet Monte Carlo (mail reply to chesterfield, va office). The consumer stated the dealer told his wife, they knew nothing about a recall.

I was driving home from work when a woman using her cell phone changed lanes into my lane without looking. Causing me to have to jam on my brakes and swerve to miss her. Upon doing this action my vehicle shut off and I rear ended her. I believe there is a defect in the ignition system as I have also had my ignition lock up and couldn't get the key out. When my air bag deployed it also quick deflated. I believe this should have been caught a long time ago and this accident would not have happened.

While driving my car, it just shut off automatically. Then it has been doing it multiple time since. It can happen three to five times per day. The dealership has tried to reboot the computer system numerous times, it still shuts off with no warning. I just listen to the fan if it shuts off, I have to put the transmission in neutral, and start the car while coasting. I feel that this is related to the gm Chevrolet recall. Feel free to call for a more in depth description of the ignition problem. For the affected parts question, it did not include ignition, therefore, I listed the areas of the car affected when the engine would shut off, the steering, braking were also affected. Thank you.

Was in a collision which I was rearended then pushed into another vehicle and no air bags deployed.

My 2001 montecarlo was hit in front with front end damage and the air bags didn't go off causing my girl friend to have a broken nose . . The vehicle was in motion on a city street in the turning lane.

The contact states there is a NHTSA recall, campaign 00v244000 regarding the air bags. The vehicle has the same problems as indicated in the recall, however it is not included in the recall due to the VIN. There have been no repairs. Updated 2/7/2006 -.

While swerving to miss an animal I collided with a park car at around 30 mph. Upon this collision my front bumper on the passenger side struck the left rear end of a vehicle. My car has an estimated $3600 of damage, and the damage to the other vehicle is unkown at this time but is quite extensive. Neither the front or the passenger airbags were deployed resulting in me hitting the steering wheel at a force that caused extensive bleeding in my gums, and my front teeth being loose.

Consumer stated that while the automobile was sitting in the driveway, the air bag began to inflate on the driver's side. However, on the passenger's side it did not inflate, it is still intact. The vehicle was towed to a dealer, who stated that they had no answer as what made the air bag inflate.

The vehicle's horn is unsafe, consumer has to apply excessive force to the horn for it to work. The dealership indicated that this problem is caused by the air bag.
