For a couple of years when I turn on my turn signals and leave on while waiting at a red light they will quit working all together. I have learned to turn them on and show what I am going to do then turn them off until the light changes and turn them on again to show which way I am turning. After I have stopped and restarted the car they start working again. It is dangeous if you forget to do the process I mentioned above because you can't signal to change lanes or anything if you are in the wrong lane and need to get over and stop and restart the car.

Fatal car accident on 270 on may 18th 2008 4 teens killed and 3 others injured. With all the gm recalls we are certain this will end up being part of the recall. Please investigate.
Bought car at 29k in June 2007. Around 36k the transmission sensor between the gas line and the transmission decided to override my breaking. Nearly killed me because the car would not stop. (had to put in neutral to maintain control). Had to fight with chevy to get warranty fix for several weeks. Around 41k the car decided that the temp outside was -38 or -40 degrees and would insist on running heat during summer. Was told computer was bad and would have to spend $$$$ to fix (and asked why I would buy a car with a bad computer!). Around 145k oil pressure sensor went out--in less thn15 k, am now having to replace 4th one. There are several other weird issues with this vehicle that are well documented with my mechanic. And now finally get recall notice and told the best fix is to have key by itself with nothing else--fob away from key. I suspect this car is a lemon that has cost me thousands of dollars in repairs.

Vehicle ignition randomly turning off engine while in gear from 2006 to sale in Nov 2007. Trips to dealerships in malden, MA and west babylon, NY advised "too heavy" keyring, but continued to be a problem. Electrical failure of entire dashboard including speedometer occurred in January, 2007 and was subsequently repaired by dealership in west babylon NY where I was told keys were too heavy for ignition reporting now due to similar instances in other Chevrolet vehicles but noticed Monte Carlos were not addressed as an issue.

Purchased the option called "driver info" center which gives you gal of fuel used, range you can drive on the remaining fuel in tank, mile per gallon, temperature features. The unit was off by 4 gal with a 17 gal tank. Gm admits it is 18% off and refuses to fix the unit because not enough people know it doesn't work the way it should yet they continue to sell it.
