The contact owns a 2006 Chevrolet Monte Carlo. While pulling into a driveway at 4 mph, the vehicle became impossible to steer. The mount that holds the rack and pinion steering failed and both front wheels were headed in opposite directions. The front of the vehicle bounced up and down a few inches above the ground. The contact turned off the vehicle and had it towed to the dealer. The dealer stated that they have never before seen this type of failure and will replace the steering rack. The current and failure mileages were 23,300.
