One problem related to brake disc pads has been reported for the 1998 Chevrolet S10. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Consumer had vehicle parked outside of her home and she was hearing a noise. She had her husband listen to it. They took vehicle to dealership, and mechanic took wheels off and noticed that rivit groves wore into the stator. When they had to replace brakes pads and shoes, they had to remachine the stator to remove the groves. The destruction of the front disk brake pads groved the front wheel stator causing the front wheel to pull to the right.
