Two problems related to transmission failure have been reported for the 1998 Chevrolet S10. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

Transmission line failed dumping contents on highway and underside of truck, wet conditions prevented a fire. No indicator of any kind showed a problem til the vehicle quit moving.
