Three problems related to engine and engine cooling have been reported for the 2001 Chevrolet S10. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Engine And Engine Cooling problem

Failure Date: 01/01/2023

I'm having a problem with I believe it's the fuel sensor my truck gets up to a certain temperature and it just dies and it's not just my truck it's in a lot of the newer model colorado's as well I have a friend who's having the same exact problem as I am when it gets up past 95 degrees, the truck just all of a sudden stops in the engine turns off, and you have to try and steer your truck without any power steering, the reason I am filing this is if this happens in the middle of the road it could possibly cause an accident and that would be no good and it only happens when it is hot outside in the winter time or when it's cold I have no issues whatsoever.

2 Engine And Engine Cooling problem

Failure Date: 07/30/2013

While traveling on i85 at 70 mph in the far left lane passing a car I hit the rumble strips on the shoulder and the truck lost all power. I was able to move to the shoulder on the right side of the road. Thinking I would not be able to restart the car to my surprise the car started back and I took off. I forgot about this until I recently heard of recent recalls.

3 Engine And Engine Cooling problem

Failure Date: 11/15/2003

Intermittently vehicle would not start under normal procedures. Vehicle was taken to the dealer, who claimed that the neutral switch needed to be replaced.
