Car Stall problems of the 1999 Chevrolet Silverado

Three problems related to car stall have been reported for the 1999 Chevrolet Silverado. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Car Stall problem

Failure Date: 05/15/2003

The contact's husband vehicle stalled without warning while being driven. There were no warning lights to indicate any problem. The vehicle was towed. It was taken to the dealer for service, where they added insulation to an air conditioning line and replaced the distributor cap. The vehicle was repaired. Updated 1/19/2006 - the second time the vehicle stalled the dealer advise the consumer to remove the distributor cap and remove the corrosion from the cap and rotor. The vehicle was able to be restarted and was taken to the dealer for service.

2 Car Stall problem

Failure Date: 04/23/2002

While driving at 40 mph vehicle stalled out with out any notice. This has happened five times already. After contacting dealer, dealer was not willing to do anything.

3 Car Stall problem

While driving vehicle stalls without warning and will not restart, the vehicle was towed to the dealer, per general motors security sensor data is incorrect but valid. Nlm.
