Two problems related to front seat belt buckle assembly have been reported for the 2002 Chevrolet Silverado. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
The contact stated the passenger's side seat belt will not buckle. When attaching the seat belt into the buckle it was not latching. The contact consulted a dealership about the price of installing a new buckle. Updated 12/27/2005 - while making a abrupt stop one day the seat belt became unlatched and has not worked since.
Drivers seat belt buckle failed. Can no longer latch harness clip to buckle.
