Three problems related to front seat belt retractor have been reported for the 2002 Chevrolet Silverado. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
The left and right side seat belts failed. The retractor sheared off while driving. Driver was able to drive to the dealer, and mechanic determined that both left and right seat belt retractors needed to be replaced. The consumers 2002 Chevrolet 2500hd had seat belt problems. The consumer stated that as his grandson was putting on the seat belt it snapped in half.
