Two problems related to windshield wiper/washer motor have been reported for the 2003 Chevrolet Silverado. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Windshield wiper failure when it rains a lot. According to the dealer I need to pay $190. 00 plus tax. To replace a circuit board and cover. Which I think is a manufacturer responsibility. Parts dept clerk told me he was aware of the problem on older trucks. But thought the problem was fixed on the newer trucks.
When windshield wiper motor gets wet from rain or washing the car, wipers seem to short out and turns on by itself, will not turn off until dry.
