The contact also stated the second gear was stiff and difficult to maneuver. The contact was able to pull the vehicle to the side of the road and inspected the transmission fluids; however, the failure persisted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. the contact stated that an appointment was scheduled with a local dealer to diagnose the vehicle. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 109,000.
