Consumer states the drivers seat slid forward six inches from back, it broke and hit the tilt lever. It causedthe consumer's aunt to have a broken back, and she was paralyzed from the waist down. While traveling 35 mph,on the highway left front seat collapsed backward then forward. Driver was able to maintain control of the vehicle, and drove it to the dealer. Mechanic determined that the reclining mechanism wore out. This problem has happened twice in a little over one year. The first replacement part only lasted 8000 miles. At 123,000 miles consumer had the driver's side seat frame replaced because it broke. Currently, at 144,000 miles the seat frame broke again. Dealer was notified.

3 door pickup has a manufacturer's defect. On driver's side seat back will not go up, but on passenger's side does go up, where third door is located. It goes up. But if someone like a small child is in back it would be trapped because seat will not go up. Please provide any further information.

The entry to the rear seat did not work properly, the passenger side seat was sticking, dealer added lubricant but it still did not work properly, consumers child was exiting the vehicle from the passenger side, once out the truck he placed his hand on the seat and at that moment a passenger in the back seat tripped the lever and the back of the front seat came forward, the hinge of the seat cut the end of the childs finger off, the consumer believes a guard should be placed on the passenger seat hinge like the one on the drivers side seat. While driving on state highay went to apply brakes and driver's seat latching device broke, made seat go forward which caused consumer to go forward into the dashboard, injurying the knees. Contacted the dealer and manufacturer, vehicle still under warranty.

Consumer stepped on gas and as he started to pick up speed, the seat flipped backkwards, gave away completely. Consumer slightly injured his shoulder and back.

Front seat went from full back to front at stop light part layed under seat.

While driving bucket seat frame broke, and consumer would find himself looking at dome light of cab. This has happened twice, once in Dec of1998, and just recently. Manufacturer replaced free of charge on first occasion, the second time part failed, the part was paid for by consumer.

Driver's seat will not lock in place, broke four times, and still not fixed.

The welds, which attach the bucket seat to the seat tracks, broke. This caused the seat to move back and forth while driving. The welds that attach both front bucket seat to the slide rails are broke. The welds only broke on the front of both seats. When the driver's seat broke it caused the seat to rock into the back and caused the consumer to hit his head on the back window.

Consumer was trying to lay back of seat backward by using handle, and handle came off into consumer's hand. Please provide further information.

The seat slides forward or backward if the heel of your foot rests on the seat, causing the seat adjustment to disengage, throwing you to the rear or the cab or into the steering wheel making it impossible to control the truck. This truck happens to have manual seat adjustment.

Whenever driver applies the accelerator pedal excessively to pass another vehicle, driver's side seatback collapses. Dealer has replaced the seats, and problem still occurs.

The passenger seat doesn't not lock down , it has only one lock on the seat to hold it down. We have contacted starcraft CO. I have been trying for a year and a half to get the seat fixed. They keep sending the wrong parts. If the truck is in a accident I believe the seat will come out of the truck. The truck has starcraft conversion package . The dealership has done all they can do to help us contact starcraft to get this fixed. I hope you can do something before there is an accident.

Front passenger seat won't lock.

The latch on driver's seat which holds the seat in place broke, causing the seat to move back and forth. It will not lock. Also causes seatbelt failure.
