I own a 1999 Silverado 1500 pickup extended cab 4x4 and I have a major issue. My truck has had vibration in front end since day one. We have taken it to dealer ship on many occasions. Before the truck was a year old it has had a total of 33 service days. Its been in shop about six times since then. It has had 16 tires put on the truck not to mention hubs replaced due to wrong hubs for veh weight, shackles replaced due to wrong shackles for weight, steering shaft replaced, studs and nuts replaced due to lug nut seized, wheels replaced due to out of round and warped, countless break down of tire and resealed due to air leaks, dash panel replaced due to peeling, bezel lens replaced due to vibration causing it to crack, manual window regulators replaced due to coming apart internally, doors weather strip replaced due to excessive noise in cab, back glass latches replaced due to weak latch and wind noise. We have made countless attempts to have vibration problem fixed and they keep saying it is tires. We have been through enough tires now and it never fixes the problem. Found out that gm has put some extra braces under some 99, 00, and 01 trucks. Is this an attempt to cure their vibration problems? I cant imagin it being the tires. I think gm knows there is something not right. Just not owning up to it. Please help. I have a five year old daughter and I fear for her saftey as well as mine due to the excessive vibration this truck has.
