2 Front Air Bag Sensor Control problem

The contact owns a 2009 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. While operating the vehicle, the air bag sensor remained illuminated at all times. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer (heidebreicht Chevrolet in washington, mi) where it was diagnosed that the front air bag sensor was faulty and needed to be replaced. My air bag sensor light came on and will not go off. The dealer that I deal with wants me to put in a new sensor in, and it will cost me around $500. 00. They said that if I was to get into an accident, the air bags and the seatbelts might not deploy. Should this be a recall item?.

4 Front Air Bag Sensor Control problem

Tl-the contact owns a 2009 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The contact stated while driving approximately 40 mph, the front driver's and passenger's side curtain air bags inadvertently deployed with warning. There was no impact to the vehicle when the failure occurred. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer who informed that both air bag sensors corroded which contributed to the unexpected deployment. The vehicle had not been repaired.
