I was driving around the back of a shopping plaza when my engine started to make a stalling sound followed by my belts squealing. My gauges looked fine and then I looked at my side mirror to see smoke trailing my vehicle. I stop and open my hood to see the entire engine compartment filled with smoke. I couldn't see any damage at that point to pin point the problem. My vehicle was towed to a chevy dealership and the mechanic told me my a. C. Compressor seized up due to lack of oil in the compressor and my engine belt was destroyed (which was the cause of the smoke). I did notice every time I turned the fan on in my vehicle the a. C. Light would always come on by itself engaging the compressor for the a. C. System. This vehicle is 3 years old with 39450 miles on it and this incident should not have happened. I had to pay the dealership almost $1000 for the repair.
I've had to get a new paint job because clear coat was coming off. Egnition switch locked up. Check engine light has come on multiple times I take it to the dealership and they say nothing is wrong with it. But tell me I can't let it get below a half tank of gas. Back axles lock up. And seat belts lock when going about 50 miles per hour. And the air condenser cought on fire. Now when I take it to the dealership they say they can not diagnose the problem. I have spent around $6000 in repairs.
