In a parking garage and trying to maneuver into a parking stall. The brake pedal became very hard. The abs light flashed momentarily and went out. There were no power brakes and very little effect to standing on the brake pedal. Put vehicle in park and restarted it. Continued to have no or limited brakes. Went on to another parking stall where no one else around. Crept into spot. When arrived back from trip, brakes were fine. Called local chevy dealership and they replaced vacuum pump free of charge. Has only happened 2 times since them. All in parking lots at very low speeds.
