The contact whom was the passenger called on behalf of the driver her spouse, stating that the driver depressed the brake pedal however, the vehicle failed to stop in a timely manner. The contact stated that the abs warning light illuminated as the vehicle rear ended another vehicle. The contact stated that no injuries were sustained in either vehicle. A police report was not filed. The vehicle was towed to marlin Chevrolet Buick GMC inc. (2145 rue frank-carrel, qu�bec, qc g1n 2g2, canada) where the engineers at gm was contacted and informed the dealer to replace the brakes. The contact stated that the dealer was awaiting parts for the repair. The contact stated that prior to travelling to canada the vehicle was serviced under NHTSA campaign number: 19v889000 (service brakes, hydraulic, service brakes, electronic stability control) at quirk Chevrolet of bangor dealer, (293 hogan rd, bangor, me 04401). The approximate failure mileage was 71,000.
