3 Brake Disc Pads problem

Failure Date: 08/26/2020

Purchased vehicle last October. Mileage indicates 8857 miles, and brake indication says 97% brake life left. It was less than that a few months after owning it, then went to 97% and has stayed there. Dealer says brake pads a fine. Yes, no doubt but there is no way 97% can be left. Transmission at times harmers into gear when shifting from first to second gear. Document id 4605342 states first shift of the day maybe harsh. It's not just the first shift of the day that it happens. There are times shifting between first and second gear the vehicle briefly slows then hammers into second gear that jolts you in your seat, enough you shake in your seat. The most recent time it happened I was moving in a paved parking lot.

4 Brake Disc Pads problem

Failure Date: 02/01/2020

Turned on truck and got multiple messages, "service esc" and "brake system failure - speed limited to 62 mph. " braking was extremely limited - even at hardest effort, truck struggled to come to a complete stop. Truck has 6700 miles and also brake pads are reporting 14%/18% life left which is innacurate based on amount of driving.

5 Brake Disc Pads problem

Failure Date: 01/23/2020

5 times since I purchased this truck one month ago; shortly after turning on, shifting into gear and starting to move the following displays on the dash service esc, service parking break, flashing orange check engine light, there may have been other lights too but those ones have been there every time. Usually it resets after stopping and turning the car off and on. The ride however is very jerky until I am able to do so and this is not a safe operation condition if there is not a quick and easy place to stop to reset. I have tried to have onstar pull the codes rice but they were not been able to do so in time and they tell me there is no problem when they connect to the onboard diagnostics. It appears they can't see history, only active codes. There was a brake recall on this truck that was supposedly reprogrammed before I took delivery but I suspect that the software fix may not have been successful. In hindsight, my salesman also seemed like he may have been aware of this issue but didn't tell me about it. I say this because the day after I picked it up I noticed that front brake pad life indicated only 68% remaining which seemed low for a new truck that had 2500 miles (had been dealer courtesy vehicle). His response when he tried to clarify was something along the lines of and you want me to have them look at the warning about the brakes?, in retrospect that response indicates to me that he may have had an awareness of this problem that I had not yet experienced and was not what I was asking about at the time. He never seemed to understand what I was getting at about the brake pad life when I reexplained so I eventually decide just to forget about it and resigned to the fact that I may have to put new brake pads on this truck before the lease is up in 39 months.

6 Brake Disc Pads problem

Failure Date: 01/22/2020

Started the vehicle and dash flashed: brake failure, esc failure, do not exceed 62 mph, trailer brake failure. Vehicle had previously been serviced for brake pad wear issue, though the erroneous readings remain (55% front pads left @ 4000 miles). All lights cleared, I continued to drive, had no power assist whatsoever on brakes, very difficult to stop. Service engine light remains on.

7 Brake Disc Pads problem

Failure Date: 12/10/2019

When I back up the back up camera flashes out, is blurry, and it seems as if when I tap the brakes it makes the screen flash out causing a serious hazard. I've contacted gm they are at this point I assume ignoring me and refuse to help with this issue on my brand new truck. Now today my break monitor system flashes up red saying service system not my breaks or pads but something with the break system is apparently wrong now.
