The contact owns a 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The contact stated that there was oil leaking underneath the vehicle. There were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer where the vehicle was diagnosed, and the contact was informed that the oil cooler lines were faulty and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact referenced customer satisfaction program: n192220080; as possible cause for the failure. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 25,000.
While traveling at 35mph engine oil cooler line failed. Got a warning chime and message saying “oil pressure low turn vehicle off”. Had car towed to the dealership and upon inspection found the line had completely separated from the hose. This seems to be an ongoing problem that is not being resolved for the lower 48 states. Could result in catastrophic engine failure, fire, or an accident for anyone making a sudden stop in traffic.
