4 Front Suspension Control Arm problem of the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 1500

Failure Date: 07/03/2019

On 7. 3. 2019, I was backing into a parking space when a loud noise occurred. I got out and my truck was sitting on the ground as my front driver side tire was broke off and resting on the ground. I had the vehicle towed to the nearest chevy dealer and was told the control arm had failed causing my tire to break off. August 8th, this happened again but on the passenger side. Thankfully this happened at my home when pulling into the driveway. I am not sure how this has not been recalled seeing as this is obviously faulty control arms on both sides of the truck. This could have been a catrastophe had I been on traveling at higher rates of speed. This is an expensive repair and is quite ridiculous seeing as the truck is not that old. I am hoping that chevy will make this right before others with the same issue are injured. I can also provide pictures of both incidents.

5 Front Suspension Control Arm problem of the 2011 Chevrolet Silverado 1500

Failure Date: 12/13/2018

My front driver side top control arm broke when I hit a pole on the rear of my truck. It snapped off at the ball. I was in a parking lot and side swiped a pole at about 5 mph. Should not have snapped a part in the front of the truck! there is a massive amount of corrosion under my truck. Even behind the rear tail light which shouldn't have been exposed, there's rust. This truck has more rust that trucks that are 30 years old.

6 Front Suspension Control Arm problem of the 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 1500

Failure Date: 08/22/2018

While taking off from a stop my truck is making a clunking scratch noise. Also while backing out of a parking space it also makes this noise or if I have to turn the wheel it makes a popping noise. The front driver's side tire is more worn on the outside than the inside. I'm told by the dealer that every time they do the oil change they are rotating my tires. This driver's side tire worn heavily on the outside and no other tires even appear to look this way. I noticed a recall on the 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 trucks, but was told by gm that my vehicle was not in that recall, but my truck is having the same issues as the trucks that were involved in the recall. I need this looked into. Gm recall number for the 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 was 42190. But again, I was told by gm that my vehicle's VIN was not listed under that recall, but my truck is having the symptoms of having faulty front upper control arm and the bushings.

12 Front Suspension Control Arm problem of the 2008 Chevrolet Silverado 1500

Failure Date: 11/21/2014

I ordered a mevotech control arm ball joint assembly from an online dealer 6 months ago. The ball joint failed and sheared in half causing a good amount of damage to my vehicle. I worked with the dealer I bought the part from and they are not covering the costs for the damage caused due to the failing part. Now the company who made the part is also saying they will not pay for the damages. My whole truck came slamming down on the tire and damaged wheel well components (fender liner), the fender flare, and gashed my tire and rim. I had to have the truck towed home because it was inoperable.
