On my 2014 chevy silverado when I was filling the tank with gas the fill neck partially broke loose and I spilled about a cup of gas at a local gas station. I looked to see a plastic plug had broken causing the fill neck to come loose when fueling. I reported this to the dealer who informed me they have has "a couple dozen occurrences similiar" they said they would replace the defective part with the same part. This is one fastener that needs to be metal and held in with a lock washer. (not plastic) see pix. This should be a recall item --see my fix with a metal bolt vs the defective platstic plug that comes from the factory. Pls take action before someonene burns up in a fire due to thes fill neck fastener problem. Thank you. Larry trame the vehicle was parked at a gas station when the fill neck partially broke loose and dropped down, spilling gasoline.
