On Thursday Feb 18th is was snowing when I left work, drove around the beltway approximately 30 miles going on average 30-40 mph. No issues just bad roads. Right after I left the highway and turned on to a main road, I was approximately 1 mile on that road in the middle lane driving straight at about 25-30 mph when my new 2021 silverado (5000 miles) loss power. The battery and check engine light came on with no engine power. As the vehicle was coasting attempted to get off the main road, but didn't make it due to the snow covered roads and slush. Ended up in a merge lane still in traffic and was almost hit numerous times. Tried to restart and get to a safe location, but when pushing the start button the silverado would crank extremely long period of time and then final cutout. Was on the phone with on star where they put me in contact with the local police department who never showed and then left me a message they were coming out due to the inclement weather. Thanks. After talking with police dispatch on star setup a tow truck, but gave them the wrong address which was more than an hour away from my location. Once back on the phone on star stated they had to call the same tow truck driver/company which of course he was over an hour away. Once the tow truck driver arrived 3 hours after my truck broke down he said he was originally only 10 minutes from my location prior to on star sending him to the wrong location. What a mess. Have a loaner car because I have been told a fuel pump is on national backorder. Also that they will be replacing the valve springs which is another issue I think? hoping to know more this week.

Fuel pump flow control module replacement 1500/2500, sierra 1500/2500) was never replaced by the dealer, vehicle stalled while driving, almost lost control while driving due to the engine stall. I took it to the dealership and they want to charge met to replace the fuel pump flow control module that was suppose the be fixed during the recall. I just bought this truck from the chevy dealer a month ago.

While traveling eastbound on interstate 10 from van horn to fort stockton at approximately 85 mph with a semi parallel on the right hand lane and an SUV directly behind me no more than 3 car lengths away, the check engine light activated and all power was lost. When the engine shutdown luckily the SUV behind me was able to slow down after I immediately activated my emergency flashers and I was able to safely, after almost causing an accident, move over to the right hand shoulder/grass area. After having truck towed to the nearest chevy/gm dealership in pecos TX, the diagnosis was a faulty fuel pump estimated cost over $800. This is a serious safety issue when traveling on the highway and the fuel pump goes out and should be looked at by NHTSA.

While driving down the highway and traveling on an exit ramp about halfway through, my vehicle momentarily "shuddered" or "lost power" followed by the check engine light flashing. This could have resulted in quite a serious accident, however I was able to retain control of the vehicle and pull over immediately. When I pulled over, I connected my code scanning tool and pulled a p0300 code from the vehicle, meaning it had multiple/random misfires. This coincides with the "shudder". Upon taking the vehicle to the dealership to get a diagnostic, the service writer informed me they have had quite a few vehicles with the same engine come in for misfire issues, usually resulting in fuel injectors being replaced or the fuel pump. Searching online, it seems to be a fairly consistent issue. Multiple forums have been dedicated to it, along with many youtube videos describing it and showing how to replace the injectors or fuel pump. As this seems like a widespread issue, I would like to request the NHTSA look into the matter and make a determination. I would hate for a similar situation to happen to someone and they are not able to retain control of the vehicle.

When I opened doors the fuel pump turns on, while I'm driving it shifts and runs funny and you hear popping noises. The guages mess up and radio turns on and off. Like its being hacked.

This truck has so many issues first one was a fuel pump sending unit and it appears to be linked in with a lin data base? I had it repaired was good now it pops on again but its saying it can be something in the lin system sad todays cars are just filling up the junk yards and charging 50k for a new one its sadly piss poor quality.

Hi this truck has been a nightmare worst truck I ever owned I have sunk over 5k into it in repairs the air bag service light went on over a year ago wen I first got the truck my garage told me there were recalls on it I took it to a dealer they fixed 1 but refused to fix the air bag recall light my garage told me its unsafe and dealer should repair my garage sed metal could kill me and bag could go off at any time I took the truck to spurr chevy in brockport and hartway chevey in medina as well as chevy dealer in rochester and batavia all told me there is no fix and to keep driving I did and things just got worse I keep getting stranded and the truck looses power because the constant warning service air bag light I had to call aaa and get towed a bunch and get jump starts I have a 18 month old child this truck is not safe and this is effecting the trucks computer the complete muffler from engine back including converters was replaced at dealer by previous owner passed inspection first year I had it now it will not pass get messages like ecm not communication codes for dealer etc I took it to dealer in brockport they reset computer codes were clear for 2 hours by time I got to inspection shop all codes were back this thing is dangerous I smell odd electric smell by air bag almost like something burning and another problem I had the damb wheel berings on both sides went the one side started making a noise I tried to get home turned on to my rd and the whole front wheel break rotor and all lugs came off with bearing I went skidding 400 feet down the road the dam bearing is just pressed in when they go the whole front falls off you can not steer I have fixed everything on this truck and still not safe to drive new breaks rotors pads tires rims fuel pump sending unit all new ac all new exahust everything is new but the dam air bag is malfunctioning I and.

Takata recall. While driving on a city street, truck suddenly lost power and shut off in the middle of an intersection, while I was turning. I tried several times to start it but nothing. I believed it to be the catalytic converter, and had it towed to a muffler shop. After fixing the problem truck still would not crank. I had to have it towed once again to my residence. Before this I would have to make 2-3 attempts to crank the truck before it would start. Also prior to this I noticed I have not been getting as good of gas mileage as I should and the truck would not accelerate as it should. I have done research and seen a number of people with my same model truck have several issues with their fuel pump.

My vehicle has stalled multiple times while driving as well as failed to start. When these symptoms occurred they are accompanied by a check engine light for a u0109 code (loss of communication with fuel pump control module). I believe that my vehicle, although the VIN is not listed, is affected by NHTSA recall bulletin number 14515 as quoted above.

My fuel pump control module pn20759945 shorted. Recall bulletin 14515 covers my model year and part number. However, gm claims my VIN is not covered by this. This is the same part and same failure listed in the recall bulletin, and imo it should be covered by gm. Fcpm's are poorly designed and poorly placed and fail on many many gm models over a number of years. This is an item that should be expanded to include all vehicles with that part number, especially if they are mounted externally and exposed to the environment such as on all chevy sliverados and related trucks. The fault in my case was a check engine light, and not a crank no start. I took the truck to gm for diagnosis. They said the fcpm needs replaced as it shows and internal fault. This is an expensive part and service,which should be covered by gm under the bulletin imo.

Fuel pump/fuel pressure sensor failure at 34000 miles. Driving vehicle at 40mph and suddenly engine warning light came on and truck died. Lost all power and could barely pull to side of road in busy traffic. Driving on state hwy 15 north bound. Fortunately my wife was able to control the pickup. Dealer repaired and said it was a relatively common problem. Second complaint was wiper failure in heavy snow/wind on county hwy 29 brown cty mn. Fuse block corroded and caused failure. Travelling at 55mph when failure occurred. Managed to drive home (2 miles) with out incident but very dangerous. The part was described by the dealer as the bcm fuse block. Both of these problems were life threatening.

Hello, I got a check engine light and found the code is for "low flow, check fuel control module, fuel pump". I found a recall bulletin no. : 14515b date: January 2015 subject: chassis electronic control module internal contamination. It is model year truck and the exact part number of the control module but the local dealer advised gm does not list my VIN as being involved, even though my truck is listed in the model year bulletin and it is the exact part number for all vehicles!! my truck could stop at any time and is unsafe to drive. I can;t drive the vehicle for fear of it stalling and even gm advised it could stall in trafiic and is a safety hazard. Please help. Thank you.

The dealer also stated that the fuel pump control module failed, but the vehicle was not repaired for the failure. The contact stated that the vehicle exhibited the same symptoms as listed in manufacturer recall number: 14515b. The manufacturer was not notified of the failures. The failure mileage was approximately 130,000.

I am original owner, purchased new 12/30/11, and vehicle has always been well cared for and maintained. It is a 2011 and only had 52,976 miles. I notice a gas odor and gas dripping underneath vehicle, with a hesitation in starting vehicle. Vehicle was brought to whiteman Chevrolet in glens falls, NY. Their diagnosis was fuel pump rotted and leaking, and fittings rotted into plastic lines. They replaced fuel pump, lock ring, level sensor, and both lines off pump. Total cost was $1318. 11. They stated these parts were corroded from weather and road salt, and not covered by any warranty or recall. I wrote a complaint to gm Chevrolet customer assistance center. They assigned a case number 8-3967027450 and advisor �deanndra� to investigate. Her investigation concluded that the parts that were replaced had been corroded by weather and road salt in my area. She stated there are no other complaints of this nature on file to indicate this being a problem, so this case is closed.

Takata recall - have been stranded numerous times as it has appeared to be the fuel pump not getting gas to start the car. Sometime can hear pump running as I have replace 3-4 pumps since 2012 or 13. Some time beating under tank helps. There seem to be numerous complaints about this problem. Security light flashing and start sometime when it is reset. Sounds wonderful when it runs. Can it be the computer? towed to a safe location after not starting and diagnostic technician show 10% fuel pressure. I parked went in to make a payment at a business and would not start for 4 days.

The truck turns over but will not start and when it is running the truck will die. It's a fuel problem but don't know what fuel pump it is or if it's the fuel pressure regulator. It only has 63,000 mi.

On thursdsy, April 27, 2017, I parked my 2009 chevy silverado at home in my driveway after work and shut it off for the night. It was stationary at that point. I did not restart it or move it for the remainder of the day/evening. The next morning, the engine would not start. It sounded like it was going to start, but to no avail after several tries. I determined it was not getting fuel. I called a local auto repair tech who diagnosed it on site, to be a faulty chassis electronic control module, which sends fuel to the fuel pump. Upon researching the problem, I found a recall bulletin / product safety recall #14515b issued January 2015. It clearly states that the 2007-2013 Chevrolet silverado (along with many other makes/models/years) may have a chassis electronic module could have internal contamination (water, build-up causing wire and bolt corrosion). I believe this to be the case for my vehicle. According to the bulletin, the unsafe factor is that the "vehicle could stall while in motion and increase the risk of a vehicle crash. " www-odi. Nhtsa. The vehicle was being driven by my son when service engine light came on and I then used my actron scan tool and pulled 3x codes from the computer (ecu) codes related to the fuel pump control module , and trailer brake warning light appeared on the instrument cluster cleared these codes. 2 days later codes reappeared all were fuel pump circuit low, fuel pump module and trailer brake codes. Cleared codes then inspected the fpsm visually removed rear cover and the fpsm was full of water I them dried it out for 2x days in the sun truck ran after reassembly. But 3x days later the truck failed to start this time with computer scan tool in hand I checked the fuel pump pressure, the truck had no fuel pump pressure. I then went to my local Chevrolet dealer and gave them the v. I. N. # to check the vehicle for recalls. Only recall was for safety belt recall which was done in 2009. I found out there was a potential recall for the fpsm on this website. So ii inquired to the parts department for this part,it was in stock and 183. 00. I then purchased a new ac delco module on-line for 85. 00 put it on and then found my local shop in town to have a tech come out to re-flash the fpsm so the (ecu) would recognize the new part. I am saving my copys of the bills so that when someone dies from this part failing when it stops the vehicle hopefully I can be reimbursed for another planned gm part failure. . . One night on the way home from work, I was driving 60mph and all of the sudden my truck hydroplaned. I managed to get the truck straight and regain control of the vehicle. About a week later, as I'm heading home all of the sudden my abs, brake, and traction control lights all illuminated. The dic reads service stabilitrak and service traction control, then it will display stabilitrak off and traction control off. I had the codes read and my trouble code was p069e - fuel pump control module requested mil illumination and u0073 - control module communication bus a off. All those lights mentioned above have been on for about a month. I looked up information about the fpcm and found out about gm recall 14515, I entered my VIN but the only recall that came up was for the takata airbag recall. As I read through the 14515 recall, I feel my truck is affected by it because, while driving the truck my speedometer jumps all around and is not stable. Also, when I try to accelerate, it feels like the engine stalls and there's no power there. Other times, it will down shift to increase rpms, but then soon shift gears into a higher gear then shift back into a low gear and repeat this until I let off the pedal. My tow haul mode will not stay engaged, cruise control will not stay engaged, and most of the time my truck won't even start when trying to use the remote start, instead lights just flash as I'm holding down the start button on the key fob. The truck feels really sluggish almost like there's no power, it seems like it hunts for the right gears while driving. Overall it just feels unsafe to drive.

I have a short in my fuel pump flow control module. It causes my car to stall while while in operation, check engine light comes on, sometimes it doesn't start, etc. This issue has haunted me for about a year now. I found a recall bulletin from gm; #14515b. This is the exact part # and issue that I'm having but my VIN # isn't part of the recall. Is it possible that my VIN was missed?.

The engine has a ticking noise like a lifter out of adjustment. I'm told this is normal its a ticking fuel pump for the fuel injectors. I think gm is better than that and can figure out how to quite it down. If there engineers can't figure it gm should consider finding some that can! the next time I buy a gm product it will need to be quite if not I'll brake a family tradition for 80 years and buy another brand.
