The contact stated that the vehicle randomly would not start upon turning the key in the ignition and there was a warning light flashing for the fuel pump. The fuel pump was replaced by an independent mechanic and the failure recurred. The contact also stated that the windshield wipers functioned intermittently and the vent controls also failed to work. The boots on the tail lights have been replaced twice and the failure recurr in which there was a wire that continued to short causing the lighting to fail to work for the rear tail lights. I had replaced antilock brake module last year and had brakes worked on this year and last and replaced brake pads. The rotors had been turned before, on a trip to my daughters my brakes started to go out. They were completely out by the time I reached her corner. I had to have all new brake lines and rotors and pads even though there were only 6,000 miles on the pads. I also had rustproofed the the truck including the underbody and carraige when I bought it new in 2002. It's a rust bucket despite the extra protection. The antilock brake module was rusted. The brake lines were completely rusted through. And now the fuel pump is out and they fuel lines are rusted as well. What gets me is I paid so much extra for extra rust proofing. It should not have rusted through this bad at only 125000 miles. The antilock brake module is placed where the rust can get at it right under the chassis part unprotected. So much for safety. That went out at about 75000 miles but just got it replaced at 100000 miles or so. The brake lines and the fuel lines are a joke on this vehicle. I used to make and inspect and test them at a factory and these would have never passed inspection for corrosion test. But they weren't made there. The factory is closed. No union wages either, but we did good work not this garbage. It cost over $500 for module and it cost 2500 for the rest of brake job. And now the fuel lines and pump and filter will cost over $1000. Plus my truck body is rusting through on the rocker panels. I bought a silverado because they hold their value and are dependable. Now my vehicle is only worth about half of what it should be and I'm paying though the nose on top of it! we have a 98 chevy blazer with 195000 and no rust on the rocker panels and the brake lines are just now getting replaced. There was no extra rust protection on it either! when is gm going to be responsible?.
Was driving down the road, and stopped at a traffic light. Left from the traffic light ,and the engine just stalled, like it was out of gas. The gas guage showed that I had a 1\4 tank of gas. So I had it towed home anyway. The next day I went out to start it with no luck. Then I put 2 gallons of gas in the tank, and the truck started right up. Now I know that the guage is 1\4 of a tank off. Some auto techs have told me that what they call a fuel card that is located on the fuel pump assembly is bad. Just wondering if this is true, because it is a lot cheaper than a fuel pump assembly. Thank you.

During commute to work on 22 April 2014, as I was approaching a stoplight and pressed the brakes to slow down, the main console chimed, showed a message to check brakes, and I was able to press the brake lever to the floor. I was still able to stop prior to reaching the stoplight. I slowly returned home (about a mile) and was able to stop the truck nearby, though the brakes were no longer able to stop the vehicle while in drive. When placed on the flatbed tow truck, the driver noticed that the brake fluid was leaking onto the bed. At the dealership, the mechanics stated the brake lines were corroded and the entire system needed to be replaced behind the master cylinder. Additionally, I had asked them to inspect why I sometimes had difficulty starting the vehicle which was diagnosed as a faulty fuel pump. This could not be removed from the fuel tank (due to corrosion), and I was forced to replace the entire tank system to replace the pump.

I was headed to the store when my truck just shut off in the middle of the street I took to my mechanic and he said that the fuel pump and sending unit needed to be replaced as well as the fuel lines due to there being excessive corrosion. Also abs system activates when coming to a stop at low speeds. And I have also had to replace the brake lines due to excessive rust. At 118000 miles I had to have my heater core replaced due no heat and once again at 121000 miles I have lost heat again.

My son brandon menard wanted a 4x4 truck so this guy nick lopez said his was for sale he could test drive it,well the 4x4 did not work on the truck the minute my son shifted it in to 4 wheel drive the tire rod and something else,so my daughters father paul s person works on vehicles and sales them too. Well I asked paul to help get my sons truck back from nick lopez and fix nicks truck so we could have a vehicle because we were sharing one vehicle. Nick wanted and paul wanted finally paul fixed nicks truck and when we got my son truck back it was making a noise,so paul said he thinks its the fuel pump no big deal,I said ok. He gave me and estimate to fix nicks truck of 2000. 00, well someone at paul"s was ripping me off it was only 600. 00 r around that amount. Well me and my husband were going through a bad divorce he had just sign over the title and registration to me,and it was left in glove box my fault, but he forged the documents plus cash a 500. 00 check that I stopped payment on. I made to police reports plus theres 2 911 calls where we r chasing him but the speed was getting out of hand I told my son to back off,we paid 1500. 00 for the truck our life is worth more. I got the complaint numbers cops did nothing. Went to dmv he tried twice there to switch it they turned him down,so he went to a title company in lafayette,la on johnston street and got it done. Plus I paid my insurance for six months ahead, I reported it to progressive they were mailing my refund check,he stole that and applied it back I think he r someone got in a wreck and tried to claim a insurance claim.
