The contact owns a 2005 Chevrolet Silverado 2500. While driving 55 mph, the steering wheel began making a noise when turned to the left or right. In addition, the brakes were not working properly. The contact looked under the hood and noticed fluid leaking from the steering hydraulic gear box. The dealer informed him of NHTSA campaign id numbers 05v455000 (steering:hydraulic power assist, hose, piping and connections) and 05v018000 (steering: gear box: shaft sector); however, the vehicle had already been repaired for the failures.
