Stock low beam headlights are so dim and have a sharp cutoff line that it is nearly impossible to see driving at night . I want to be able to see the lines when im driving and cars coming the other way, but it is almost impossible if road is dark and cars coming other way. Please find a stock 2015 chevy 2500hd work truck and check low beam. High beams are wonderful, but can't drice with them on, although looking at every other car on road and how bright some are I probably can.

I was driving in a snow storm and the headlights packed in very thickly with heavy wet slushy snow and no light went through and I could not see the road. The headlight lens and the surrounding trim form a v-shaped trough around the light that doesn't allow the snow to slide off from wind and bumps. The shape actually encouraged snow to accumulate and cover the entire lens and the led lights run so cool they don't cause any snow to melt. I had to pull off the road and clean the headlights manually twice during a 26 mile trip.

The low beam headlights are dangerously narrow and dim. In rural areas where there is little ambient light it is impossible to see deer in the ditches, and curves in the road are worse because the narrow beam doesn't project to the side at all. The dealer checked the headlight adjustment but not the lumen output of the low beam. Gm was no help at all. The way it is now is not safe and an increase chance of auto and animal accidents.

The contact owns a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado 2500. The contact stated that there was an intermittent failure in which the headlights shorted out. The contact had to maneuver the function button several times to get the headlights to illuminate. The failure caused poor visibility while driving the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to randy wise Chevrolet (g-5100 clio road, flint, mi 48504 (810) 412-0546) and al serra Chevrolet (6167 s saginaw st, grand blanc, mi 48439 (810) 270-1146), but the failure could not be diagnosed or duplicated. The manufacturer was notified and indicated that they would provide a follow-up response to determine a solution. The failure mileage was not available.

Very poor headlights when driving at night can easy over drive headlights when driving in rural areas were there are no street lights above start to loose good vision at 50 to 75 feet in front of truck this is very bad headlights these should have never been aloud to be put on the road somebody going to hurt with these lights and nobody is doing nothing about it I only hope that gm steps up or fed step up and make gm make this right before people get hurt. Far to often people half pay the price before things are done about addressing the problem. They fixed the headlights on the 1500 trucks so they know they have the problem on 2500 and 3500 trucks. Thank your number one taxpayer.
The headlights, both high and low beams are very poor for a 2016 vehicle. The light they project onto the roadway will washout in a wet or dark road and in my opinion not acceptable for a new vehicle.
The low beam lights are very dim. I'm unable to see more than 20' in front of the the truck. Chevy said the headlights were updated but that didn't help. I've hit several obstacles in the road because I simply couldnt see it. I've had previous generations of this model and this is by far the worst headlight setup. I've read thousands of online posts about this problem on various forums, so appearently this is a common problem. This is a problem while moving. The darker the roadway the worse the problem becomes. Thanks.
I bought a 2015 chevy Silverado 2500 hd last year and have contacted the dealer several times concerning the visibility of these headlights. I live in a rural area with few street lights and rely on these lights to see. There is not enough light shining to see clearly and if it's raining, the visibility is nil. I owned the same type vehicle in 2005 and had no problems with the lights, my Subaru has brighter light pattern than my truck! I contacted the chevy customer rep on 8/17 and explained my concern. He said that the lights are designed to work that way and they aren't making changes unless there are more complaints. He said he was sorry but there is nothing he can do. I believe this is a safety issue for those who travel on poorly lit roads and is an accident waiting to happen.
The headlights border on un-safe.
Tbere are small particles of orange flash that has fallen off the front signal lights inside the front headlight housing. They are not supose to be in there. This is a defect that happened when the amber signals were molded. I work in a injection molding plant that makes the current sinals for the silverado and that is a defected part. I was told that should be a recall.
