Eight problems related to brake foundation components have been reported for the 1996 Chevrolet Suburban. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Brake do not work.
The Suburban has had numerous brake problems since new, has had three brake jobs and most recently replaced the hydraulic booster assembly. Poor dealer response.
While driving vehicle applied the brakes and the brakes locked up, causing the vehicle to run onto the railroad track. Both front tires blew out.
Brakes failed.
Brakes and master cylinder failed on several occasions.
While applying the brakes during inclement weather (snow, rain) the brakes fail to stop the vehicle and the pedal pulsates, the consumer can also hear a metallic grinding noise, the vehicle was taken to the dealer and the pads and rotors were replaced yet the problem still exist. Nlm.
Premature brake wear.
Poor brake performance, pedal goes to floor and do not really make a good effort to stop.
