When the vehicle is moving slowly like when approaching a stop sign or parking the brakes do not work, there is a noise and a vibration it is very frightening. After hitting a curb it stopped. Gm had a recall (05v379000) that did not include the year of my Suburban (1999) nor my state (colorado). . . . . Yet, my problem is exactly the same problem that forced this recall. I think they should include colorado and 1999 Suburban's - I find this to be highly unfair. Today the abs acted up and caused my pregnant wife to nearly hit the car in front of her.

I am experiencing the same problem listed on the recall for abs on my truck. The abs is kicking in at unwanted times and takes forever to stop. I called the dealership about the recall and mine is not in the recall even though I am experiencing the same problems. Why is this model year not included in the recall? what do we need to do to add this model to the recall list? when you are stopping, you can hear the abs kicking in and then you begin to slide. I ended up going through a stop sign at the end of our street and fortunately there was no accident but who knows about the next time. What can we do?.
