Driver side seat heater randomly comes on and goes off. Majority of the time the heater stays on constantly and becomes uncomfortable. This happens more especially in wet conditions and when you attempt to turn the heated seat off, the controls won't work. This issue happens when the SUV is started, continues while idling and while driving. Some days it is hours before it will go off. Other days it will not go off. The scary thing is you can hear the dashboard clicking when the heater turns on and off, constantly cycling though high to low, back of seat to bottom of the seat. Adjusting the seat in any way does not help. I think this is a concern due to the fact that it turns off and on and you can hear it cycle through. It's also a major concern because the heat stays on without any way to turn it off. This started a week after I purchased this vehicle and has continued since October 2016.

The contact owns a 2016 Chevrolet Suburban. The contact stated that while the vehicle accelerated, the rear middle seats unlatched and closed. As a result, the passengers could be injured due to the failure. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where the failure was undetermined. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 1,500.
The slide assembly under the 2nd seat, does not work, so that passengers cannot easily climb into the back seat.

The center seat that slides forward on the passenger side of vehicle will not remain locked and slides forward when brakes are applied. Once the seat is locked you cannot slide if forward to enter the rear seat. The cam mechanism is plasitc and does not work. This is a dangerous problem as I carry 7 children to school each day.

In my Chevrolet Suburban VIN 3gnfk16z14g227335 the middle row seat on the passenger side which slides forward to allow access to the third row seat has a poorly designed latch that has come loose on several occasions while the vehicle is braking and doesn't sporadically does not latch. My wife and I have had the viehicle serviced on 11/02/2004, 11/26/2004 and 1/21/2005 and can provide service records if desired. The vehicle was also taken in on 02/25/20005,however the seat latched properly at the dealer and no invioce was issued. Each service we were informed that the latch has been slighlty bent from persons (our children in this case) accessing the third row seat. We have been told that a pin bends and that the only fix is to periodically bend the pin back. This we find to be unacceptable as one is never sure when the pin is bent "enough" to allow the seat to come unlatched and thus roll forward when the car brakes. The seat rolled forward on several occasions while occupied by both children and my wifes grandmother. As one cannot depend on the seat to stay latched we no longer feel the seat is safe to use (uncontolled roll forward during an accident could be very hazardous) and no longer allow anyone to sit in that location. We have been told by the ken dixon chevrolt (dealer that has serviced the vehicle) that "latch design is the problem, latch bends if contact is made with it" (quote from srevice history in dealers computer). We are currently persuing the maryland lemon law, however would prefer to have the situation fixed. We are getting the run around from gm and were infomed by gm that this particular seat design has been discontinued.
While driving 55 mph rear passenger side seat collapsed backward with a child seat installed. Dealer stated the outboard recline latch failed. The part was repaired twelve times. However, the problem recurred.
The middle seatback will no longer snap into place when put in the upright position. Manufacturer stated seat back did not have to click to be safely secured. Owners manual states for the consumer to be sure the click is heard. Consumer wants to know if the seat is safe.
