Safety issue: while traveling at highway speed, the drivers seat right side back support bracket failed. The only thing keeping it upright is the left side bracket and seat covering in tension. In my opinion, a seat bracket should not fail during the life of the vehicle. I do not push back on my seat, as I have seen others in there vehicles to create more space behind the steering wheel. In fact, I sit up close to the steering wheel in an upright position. The vehicle has not been involved in any colisions during the life of the vehicle. I have been driving the vehicle since 5 miles on the odometer.

Ihave a 2003 chevy Tahoe and the drivers heated seat comes on by its self you have to manually shut it off.
The clips to install the seat crumbled. Therefore, you cannot lock the seats in its place.
The 2nd row seats will not open, preventing access to the 3rd row seats. This is a significant safety concern b/c in the case of an emergency the 3rd row passengers may not be able to exit the vehicle. It appears the cable mechanism that opens the 2nd row seats is defective.
I have been seing commercials about airbags not deploying on chevy vehicles. My daughter was killed in my 04 chevy Tahoe where the airbags did not deploy. She was thrown from the vehicle and also another person was in the car as well. Airbags on the drivers or passengers side did not deploy. The truck flipped several times. The drivers seat also lifted up and was split in to. We asked the investigators and our insurance company to check into why the airbags did not deploy and they said it was normal, but we knew otherwise. They did not take any further action.

The contact owns a 2009 Chevrolet Tahoe hybrid. While the second row seats were pulled back to house cargo, the seats returned to the upright position and crushed the cargo. While driving less than 60 mph, with the second row seats pulled back to transport cargo, 40 percent of the seat would fall and lock to the floor during acceleration. The remaining 60 percent would fall to the floor and then return to the upright position, striking the rear of the driver's seat in the process. Excessive lint build up on ebony cloth seats in 08 chevy. Tahoe. Gm knows there is a problem - gm bulletin #07-08-50-018a, 10/02/2007 models 2007and 08 Tahoes and many other models built with cloth seats prior to 8/01/07. Supposed to recover the seats but after many phone calls back and forth with gm they are not willing to do anything for us. Our Tahoe is a 08, # . The fabric seats pull cloth fibers from any type of clothing you are wearing and the seats look filthy all the time. The fibers are difficult to remove with a lint brush or a vacuum. It only takes getting in and out once and your seats look terrible. We have only owned this vehicle for less than 3 months and it is driving us insane trying to keep up with the fabric fibers from our clothing all over the seats. We are very angry that gm refuses to do anything at all for us after replacing the same fabric on other models in accordance with their bulletin stated prior. We have always had cloth seats in our vehicles and have never seen anything like this. There are many chat sights on-line dealing with this exact problem about the ebony cloth seats. Gm needs to do something about this immediately. After all, they have already acknowledged the problem. We feel absolutely screwed over by gm.

Tl the contact owns a 1995 Chevrolet Tahoe. The contact stated that the corner of the front driver's side seat bracket had fractured, which caused the seat to rock and become unstable. The dealer (good Chevrolet, 325 sw 12th st, renton, wa 98057, (425) 336-0640) stated that there was no recall on the vehicle. The manufacturer had not been contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The failure mileage was unavailable.
Mid year in 2006 the passenger side seat in my Tahoe started to slide on its track about 2 to 3 inches, back and forth. Then about 4 months later the same thing happened with the drivers seat. The seat slides back and forth about 4 inches. This is very hazardous when driving, because when you accelerate the seat slides back with a bang, and if you come to a quick stop, the seats sling you forward. I contacted the dealership which told me to contact Chevrolet customer care. I explained to the I feel this is a defect in the way they assembled the seats. If it happened in just one seat I would agree, it is not a defect, but this has gradually happened to both seats. And there are other similar complaints on this website. The dealership denies this is a defect, and therefore Chevrolet is denying this is a defect. I would appreciate any additional assistance with this problem.

Dt: the consumer owns a 2000 Chevrolet Tahoe. The front seats would slide on the rail. The passenger side began to do this first and the dealership told the consumer he would have to replace the motor. Both seats are now sliding about 5 inches back and forth. The gm manufacturer told the consumer to take the vehicle to a dealer to see if it was a manufacturing defect and maybe they could work with him to get it corrected if it was a defect.
While driving an ink pen dropped between the driver's seat and center console. Consumer suffered a serious cut when attempting to retrieve pen, due to design of seat track. Cut required 8 stitches. Ts.

No summary listed for above vehicle.
I entered my vehicle and when I sat in the driver's seat the front left frame bracket on the seat snapped. The welding apparently broke. This vehicle has never been off-road and I am not obese. Now, when I sit in the seat, it leans back in an uncomfortable and, most importantly, dangerous position. The seat moves back and forth everytime the accelerator and/or brake pedal is depressed. I tried to have gm fix this, because it is obviously a defect, as welding should not come undone under normal operating conditions. Gm would not accept the responsibility to fix this defect.
