I took my chevy 2000 Tahoe ltd, for its first calif. Smog test and was told "everything was fine except the gas tank cap. " "the cap failed the pressure test and escaping fumes could cause an explosion. " I had the cap replaced and was further told, "this test failure is happening to all 2000 model year Tahoes, surburbans & sliverados" this technicians has tested. Is this possible hazard and correcting it the responsibility of Chevrolet/gm???.
