Instrument Panel Failure problems of the 2002 Chevrolet Trailblazer

Three problems related to instrument panel failure have been reported for the 2002 Chevrolet Trailblazer. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Instrument Panel Failure problem

Failure Date: 11/15/2012

The contact owns a 2002 Chevrolet Trailblazer. The contact stated that all of the warning lights and gauges on the instrument panel malfunctioned, preventing him from being able to determine any accurate readings. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure but did not offer any assistance since the vehicle was not included in any recalls. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 160,000 and the current mileage was 171,000.

2 Instrument Panel Failure problem

Failure Date: 12/02/2010

Chevy Trailblazer 2002 instrument panel malfunction: oil gauge drops to zero when idling- is intermittent. I thought the oil pump was failing and paid to have towed to mechanic. They said that instrument panel has glitch in it so you cannot tell if oil pressure is accurate. Car is running fine.

3 Instrument Panel Failure problem

Failure Date: 01/20/2003

When attempted to start vehicle all gauges and lights on instrument panel failed to come on vehicle shut off and restarted still no instrument panel. Vehicle was drove approx. 5 miles shut off and restarted and the gauges and lights then came on. There has been 3 times that this has occured in the last 4 months.
