Blower problems of the 2005 Chevrolet Trailblazer

Three problems related to blower have been reported for the 2005 Chevrolet Trailblazer. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Blower problem

Failure Date: 08/09/2011

The contact owns a 2005 Chevrolet Trailblazer. The contact stated that while driving 45 mph, the vents released a burning odor. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer, who diagnosed that the blower motors resistor and connector were melted. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure, but denied assistance with the repairs because of the age of the vehicle and the expired warranty. The vehicle had not been repaired. The failure and current mileages were 65,000.

My blower for my a/c and my heater has stopped working.

3 Blower problem

Failure Date: 11/18/2008

Blower motors not working, replacing the part, and finding the wiring is melted and shorting out on the heater control module right side or referred to as the resistor. There has been no recall on this part, but we have found several vehicles with this part have the same electrical malfunctions which are causing other malfunctions in the vehicle. To remedy the problem they need to update the heater control module on the right side or referred to as the resistor. This is the problem.
