Two problems related to side/rear glass have been reported for the 2005 Chevrolet Trailblazer. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
I own a 2005 Chevrolet Trailblazer ext. 2 weeks ago I opened the rear gate and the rear glass exploded over my head. Had glass and spoiler repaired by glass CO. With new parts. Today the same thing happened after I opened the tail gate and was walking away. Seems to be a bad design flaw by Chevrolet. Do I fix it again not knowing the cause? are there any other complaints?.
The contact owns a 2005 Chevrolet Trailblazer. She noticed that the adhesive that held the rear window in place came loose. She took the vehicle to the dealer and when they attempted to open it the glass shattered. The dealer stated that they would not repair it at their cost. The contact felt the vehicle should be included as part of NHTSA campaign# 05v035000 (visibility: windshield). The current and failure mileages were 67,000.
