The contact owns a 2006 Chevrolet Trailblazer ext. While driving various speeds, the vehicle would stall and shut off without warning. The vehicle would have to be jumpstarted in order to restart. The failure recurred, but the vehicle would not restart. The contact took the vehicle to a certified mechanic who was unable to identify the cause of the failure. The mechanic replaced the vehicle's battery, auxiliary water pump, starter, and alternator; however, the failure recurred. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 150,000.
The contact owns a 2006 Chevrolet Trailblazer. While driving approximately 40 mph, the vehicle stalled. After several attempts, the vehicle restarted. The vehicle was taken to a dealer for diagnostic testing. The ignition circuit was replaced; however, the failure recurred. The mechanic stated that the throttle body needed to be cleaned. In addition, the contact stated that there was a grinding sound as the ignition was being started. The vehicle was taken to a dealer for diagnostic testing. The technician stated that the starter drive gear was worn and the starter was replaced. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 8.

The contact took vehicle to dealership, and they found nothing wrong with the vehicle. She stated that on 04/06 she had to have vehicle towed to another dealership, the vehicle would not start. The contact stated that they couldn't find anything wrong either. They did replace the starter at that time, but the failure continued to happen, and now the radio has shorted out and caused the vehicle to lose power. The dealership replaced the radio. On 12/23/06, the vehicle lost power again while driving 10-15 mph and trying to make a right turn. The vehicle was towed to dealership again, they found nothing wrong again. The contact stated that this was a safety issue, especially while driving on the freeway. The contact stated that she filed a complaint with the manufacturer, # 71-426356150. The contact stated that someone from their legal department caller her and stated that they will have someone come out and look at her vehicle in mid February.
