2 Wiring problem

Failure Date: 03/03/2014

Every time that I stop at a stoplight and start to go, the oil pressure drops to zero, the check gauges light comes on and message says oil pressure low and it cause the vehicle to act up and drive extremely slow, sometimes causing it to shut off or go into shut down mode. I googled this issue to try to figure out the problem that causes this and seen that several people have this issue with the Trailblazers. I spoke with a gm certified mechanic and he told me that this is a very common issue with the Trailblazer and said its either faulty wiring or oil sending unit. This issue is very dangerous to have happen and could (and probably has) cause an accident or someone to be stranded. With so many people having this issue, there is no way its just a coincidence. Whatever the problem is there should be a recall for gm. I hope this issue is thoroughly investigated and something is done to fix the problem. Thanks.

Recall for faulty fuse or connection in the driver's side door that could malfunction if the wiring became wet and cause an electrical problem. I was notified by regular mail from Chevrolet in or around 2013. In approximately 2015, there was a short in a fuse in the driver's side door after a rainstorm. The power window malfunctioned and did not work. The following morning the window functioned normally again. I have had no trouble with the window or the door since that time.

Power windows were rolled up and key off and vehicle unattended and locked. Later in afternoon after it rained it was reported the drivers window was down. After checking on the vehicle the window had rolled itself down sometime while in at work. The drivers window switch would not operate. After getting estimate at gm dealer(700+) and body shop(350 plus programming at gm dealer), they were able to jump motor to roll up window and disable switch. Harness and switch were starting to melt and deform wire insulation at drivers window switch but did not catch on fire or melt to bare wiring.

Got into vehicle . Noticed a burnt smell and it would not start. Had power to most things. Then I noticed the burnt switch. Pulled switch out and it was melted along with wiring harness. While looking online for a new switch a wiring harness I came to find out this is a recurring problem with the 06 and 07 models, and yet no recall on this yet. This is the 2nd issue with electrical devices on this vehicle. My flasher control box burnt up last year while I was driving.

8 Wiring problem

Failure Date: 12/08/2010

The fan on my Trailblazer quit working on my a/c completely. Took to the dealer & it started working again without any repair. Then fan setting #5 quit working & I took to dealer again. They stated it was the blower motor resistor. Picked up from dealer without replacing anything & then fan quit working all together. Replaced blower motor resistor & it still didn't work. Wiggled the 7-wire wiring harness & it began to work. Waiting til it fails completely to replace. There have been many Trailblazers that have had this exact problem. According to the reports, my harness will melt & then I will have to replace it and/or eventually wiggling it will not work, not to mention its very inconvenient to get into that area of the car on a regular basis!!!.
