15 problems related to air bag not deploy have been reported for the 2007 Chevrolet Trailblazer. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Around 2019, I noticed that each time I started my Trailblazer, the "service air bag" light will flash for a minute, then goes off, then comes right back on and stays on. There have been some days when it only flashed then went off, but after about a few months, the "service air bag" light remains on. Have taking it to the Chevrolet dealership to get a diagnosis. The light remains on at all times. Afraid that if I was involved in an accident, the air bag will not deploy!.
Service air bag with would periodically come on and go off depending on speed and turing the steering wheel. It finally stayed on for good. Was told by one dealership that it was a loose connection and that it was still safe to drive. Drove it like that for a while and finally had a chance to take it to a different dealership. Said there was a faulty piece in the steering column and that if I had been involved in an accident, the airbags would not have deployed.
My truck was involved in a accident and my air bags did not deploy and my charging system goes in and out my 4wd comes on by itself and I have to turn it off while driving.

When I started my car, I went to turn the ac on and there was beeping and the emergency brake, abs/stability, and a few other instrument panel lights come on. The overhead interior light comes on as well and the air will not blow out. The only way to get this to stop is to turn the a/c off or either turn it up to the highest level (5). If it is on 5 and I try to turn it down, the beeping starts and the lights come on. Sometimes it will just happen randomly even if I don't touch the air. Once while I was on the interstate doing 75 mph, it randomly happened and my car stalled and slowed down as if it were cutting off which scared me so badly because if my car had cut off I could have been in a serious accident, or even with it slowing down the way it did. My foot was on the gas driving and the car just started slowing out of nowhere. Also, the air bag light has come on and will not go off and the air bag has never been deployed. I love my truck so much, but am considering getting rid of it if I cannot get any assistance with getting it fixed because of my concern for my family's safety as well as other drivers on the road.
Son was involved in a motor vehicle accident in which he hit a cement truck head on in the vehicle airbags did not deploy. The entire front end of the vehicle was damaged(smashed in) and the vehicle subsequently totaled out. As per gm this type of crash would not have created a deployment of the airbag however; my son cracked the front windshield when his head hit it at impact with the truck and again, the entire front end of the vehicle was smashed. If this type of impact doesn't create an airbag deployment I am not quite sure what does?.
I was starting to go up a hill at a speed of 56 mph and I swearved to miss a couple of skunks when the steering locked on the truck and I went into the ditch to the left and then rolled the truck three times. When the vechile was purchased in Nov 2010 I noticed the srs light was on and the dash light and his response was to bring it back for service after I made a pament, during the accident the airbags did not deploy and the towing company who came to get the truck they had to cut the battery out because they couldn't get the steering to unlock.
Airbags did not deploy in crash impact estimated at aprox 60 mph. Vehicles airbag that did not deploy was a frontal crash. T-boned another vehicle that pulled out in front of mentioned vehicle.
On 9/24/08 I was involved in an auto accident where my 2007 Chevrolet Trailblazer's airbags failed to deploy. My vehicle impacted another with my entire front end at approximately 45 mph. My Trailblazer was totaled. Not only did my airbags fail to deploy, the onstar system did not automatically go off. I had to hit the button to summon assistance. When we asked the dealer about it, their response was "sometimes they go off, sometimes they don't" I sustained a broken left arm, numerous bruises, a cut on my ankle and an ankle sprain. I also injured my back and neck which is requiring ongoing care.
A vehicle pulled directly across my path while I was traveling approximately 45 mph, resulting in a t-bone collision. My vehicle was totaled. Somehow, my airbags did not deploy.
